Meets expectations

I traded my Mercedes GLC300 in for the Genesis GV70. I loved the handling of my Mercedes, so I was hesitant to change makes. However, the Genesis is a nice handling vehicle and the “creature comforts” outdid my Mercedes. So far the service of the vehicle has been good.

Style, luxury, dependability, and silence

After two Mercedes and two Lexus we decided to try a GV70, and are mostly delighted by our choice. This is a beautiful car, inside and out, with every luxury and safety feature imaginable. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. Exterior cameras, warning sensors, and automatic braking make the GV70 safe in every environment. Power is great; the 4-cylinder turbo seems to have more pep than our old 400hp Lexus (at more than twice the mileage). Also outstanding, the GV70 is quieter at highway speeds than any car we've ever owned. The only disappointing features are the electronics, particularly navigation, fingerprint verification, and interfacing with Android phones. Changing between our two phones is always a problem, and the navigation views are awful. Case in point, last year we went to France and rented a Renault Kangoo (an economy SUV). Never having sat in a Renault in my life, the navigation system was more useful in 5 minutes, than our GV70 system is after a year. We NEVER use the GV70 navigation; preferring Android with Google Maps...IF we can get the phone to connect. How did a Korean company mess this up so badly? (we are diehard Samsung fans for TVs, tablets, and phones). Absolutely worth a test drive the next time you're in the market for a luxury vehicle.

It brings me joy!

I love everything about this car. I knew nothing about this brand other than it being a part of Hyundai. I had just recently purchased a Lexus NX350 but was very unhappy with some of its features and bumpy ride. I saw a Commercial on the GV70 and was wowed by the design and interior. I test drove the car that same week and was sold 5 minutes into the drive. It rides so smooth, the interior color is absolutely stunning, not to mention the details in the trim. This car has such a luxury feel. I love the technology and look forward to driving it every day!!

The service department is AWFUL.

Vehicle had faulty battery, loose and missing bolts. Took the service team 5 appointments and more than a combined 2 months to find and correct any problem. Communication was nonexistent unless I called repeatedly. Service department is awful and ineffective.

I love the vehicle but...

I enjoy driving my 2025 GV70. It is a very nice vehicle that rides well, it is sporty, and offers a variety of options that make driving it exciting. It took a while to learn the instrumentation. I am someone that reads the manual once I get it. Yet, it took time to familiarize myself with all the specifics of the system. Some issues that need to be addressed though: windshield wipers are terrible and I thought gas mileage would be better however I do like the ECO mode especially when traveling on highways with the Coast mode turned on.

Great car, minor quirks as expected

Amazing car to drive. After a year I still enjoy driving it like it was new. Prior to buying , reviews warned of quirky infotainment and dealer service, both of which turned out to be true. A couple minor features are missing for a car of this quality, especially given the high trim level that I purchased: no rear seat heater; no "touch to unlock" on the rear doors. No major quality issues so far. Reliability has been perfect. I chose this over an MDX, and have no regrets at this point.
