Gas hog

Had the 2026 GV 70 since the end of March. Love the ride and the smooth comfort and all of the technology. The gas mileage sucks for a 4 cylinder engine. That turbo sucks it up. I am not heavy footed but the best I can get city driving is 17mpg. Highway driving 28 mpg. My 2015 Genesis sedan with the 3.8 liter, 6 cylinder engine got 24 to 25 mpgs city driving. Sorry I traded that car with only 80,000 miles on it in for this very expensive SUV and feed it constantly. I really thoughtthat this car would be the last new car I would buy but not so. Very disappointed in the horrible gas consumption. Looking to trade in on a Mazda CX50 hybrid or the Honda hybrid for better fuel efficiency. Will not go all electric.

The screen on dashboard is having issues. It has gone blank, it has frozen when using Waze.

We Love Our New Genesis GV70, but....

We absolutely love our new Genesis GV70 (Advanced trim package). Great ride, plenty of power, very quiet cabin, and an amazing sound system (Bang & Olufsen) that puts Bose to shame. We wanted to downsize a bit from our Acura MDX, and this size works well for us overall. However, there is a distinct lack of storage for needed items. The console is very, very small. There is a lack of other storage areas, compared to other brands. The storage area in the "spare tire" section is very limited. While we knew we would make some compromises with our downsizing decision, a lot of the poor storage issues seem to be a result of poor engineering vs. a lack of potential space.

Some issues

Upon acceleration, there is some Unsteady pulsing. Also down shifting, and then accelerating is not smooth. The auto hold light is constantly lit. Otherwise, the car is fantastic with great fit and finish and design.

THE VEHICLE IS A FANTASTIC CAR. SALES AND DELIVERY, THAT'S ANOTHER STORY. SALES PERSON DELIVERED THE VEHICLE, AND TOOK 90 MINUTES TO EXPLAIN IT'S BASIC FUNCTIONS. WHILE OFFERING TO COME TO MY HOME THE FOLLOWING WEEK FOR A VERY EXTENSIVE EXPLANATION OF ALL FUNCTIONS. WELL, IT'S BEEN SIX MONTHS AND I AM STILL WAITING. !!!!!!!!! I DEFINITELY HOPE THAT SOMEBODY WILL READ THIS AND WORK TO CORRECT THE SITUATION.
