Overall my favorite vehicle

Love the lines, look, luxury, handling, and responsiveness. Only complaint for the interior is the driver's seat is not comfortable, especially on long trips. It's hard & bumpy, loke you can feel the massaging mechanisms. Also, had to have bothe taillights replaced due to condensation, but repair was a simple process.

Bad Warranty

Some things should have been covered under warranty that wasn't. We will not be buying another Genesis. Part of the steering wheel started to peel and we were told that would not be covered, that is totally wrong!!!

Nice ride. Still have a few tech issues

Great ride. We still have some tech issues since we bought the car new. We go to dealership and get them fixed and something else pops up .. it is still a nice car

3 years with our Genesis GV-80

The vehicle has been ok, except for the numerous problems we have had. It started with the shift computer that required the car being towed back to the dealer. Then the horn went out next, then the A/C went out twice in 3 months. These problems have all happened in less than 3 years and under 15000 miles. Also to us an 80,000 vehicle should have both front seats massaging! Also the Fort Myers Genesis dealer is not one our favorites.

Worse experience

Honestly, I struggle to identify any meaningful positives based on my experience. The vehicle has had repeated air conditioning failures three times in just 18 months, and the service experience has been extremely frustrating. I also feel that important information was not fully disclosed during the sales process. What should have been an exciting luxury car purchase has turned into a disappointing ownership experience that I regret.

Exceptional vehicle in all conditions.

Great looks and great performance even with base engine. When my vehicle was only a few months old we had a family emergency that required me to drive from the mountains of Colorado to Las Vegas in a hurry and then return to Colorado a day later. My Genesis performed like a champ in the twisty mountain roads of Colorado and Utah, and on the Interstates at significant rates of speed. Bravo GV 80!

It's at the dealer for the second time with the same engine problem that has Genesis engr. staff stumped. Otherwise it's a comfortable feature laden car.

Best in class but poor mileage, small tank and premium required

Best vehicle my wife has driven; compared to Porsche, Mercedes and US premiums - she is shorter than average. None better in the GV80 class and for around town the first choice. It does not have better mileage than our F150, too small a tank, premium fuel required and when all considered for long trips the Genesis is not our first choice. Throw in the F150 twin turbo 3.5 engine and 7 more gallons of fuel and voila! OOPs, that would now be a Navigator or Expedition. In fairness, no other same size premium SUV is any better for long trips though. Why no full size spare as standard for a non third seater?
