Great looking car and great smooth ride but the electronics are very frustrating with the fingerprint and the voice commands.

Comfortable ride with all the tech one can imagine

We love the looks, the safety features, and the high tech, but after only 6 weeks, the battery died. The explanation was that the tech caused a parasitic drain on the battery when it was not in use. They seem to think you need to drive it for a while to keep the battery charged, but as a retired person, I sometimes don't drive the car for 7-10 days at a time. So this means I cannot leave it in the airport parking lot, because when I return from vacation, the battery will be dead. I heard online, especially on Reddit, that this has happened to others. If you do not fix this, your reputation will falter!!!!

My 3rd Genisis

1st SUV, kind of miss the smoother ride of my G80s. All the extras I could need are there but the radio isn't as user friendly as the it was on the G80. Dash board gets blocked by steering whheel

Still love this car…pure luxury

Still in love with my automobile. 20,000 miles in, and the ride is still very smooth, only issue is the display will randomly shut off.

Car is not only good looking, it runs great

The only thing I do not like about this car is the engine cutoff on and off. I know I can stop it but I rather have it not activated except by me where it is not an automatic feature.

Good with some flaws

Not sure if it got to do with the freezing climate in Jan/Feb 2026. One day, all my resets seem to have reset by itself. Like my seat preset was messed up. My Apple Carplay did not work and I ended up establishing the connection again. The other biggest pain I have is, I use my Apple Watch to unlock the door, at times it takes couple attempts (keep pulling the door knob) to open. Few times, never opens. I need to walk out and walk back in or use the card.

Expensive and Tireless

Other than the price…..and the fact that there is no spare tire…..I been pleased with the vehicle. However…. I am on a GV80 Facebook page that is not very complementary about issues with the car and with service centers not being able to correct issues in a timely manner. Waiting for when other’s issues hit my vehicle.

Software updates rarely work

When we bought this vehicle it took three visits to three different dealers and three months before we could finally get "genesis connect". What a disappointment that was. No free trial from Verizon for the hot spot since it had been three months and the selling dealer forgot to sign us up. Not to mention no wireless apply carplay until recently. And then when you do activate wireless carplay, it disables the hotspot altogether.

Excellent service

My tire caught a flat within less than a month and the dealership took care of me without any issues. The snow hit so they had to keep my vehicle but delivered it back to me without any issues or problems.

Daily Frustration

This car was supposed to my luxury car. But everyday there is something that does not work. Nothing is consistent. For example the user settings don’t work, the speakers go in and out, car play hardly works. The back hatch randomly opens. The screen goes all the way black.These are just a few of the daily frustrations

Nanny state features annoying. Poor navigation for an upscale vehicle

Has nice features but the nanny warnings can't be turned off. Navigation is nearly worthless as a map.
