timid, older driver review of 2025 Elantra hybrid

Right off, I'll admit that I'm not the likeliest buyer of this 2025 Elantra. I'm not computer savvy and have been driving a 2011 car. So I haven't yet connected with Bluetooth and haven't tried many of the car's features. Joshua Hinman, my salesperson, offered to help me learn at my own pace, and I mean to make an appointment with him soon. My driving has been comfortable with the new car, and the two problems I had (fob disappeared in car; low tire pressure) both got resolved quickly by the Service crew. Friends admire the car's appearance. I wish, though, that it were smaller and that I could see how far the front of the car extends into parking spaces.

Excessive wind noises, and noisy idle.

Wind noise is heard from inside cabin when all windows are fully closed. Further more sunroof also makes a turbulence noise when open on ‘tilt’ position with all door windows fully closed. Engine is too noisy for idle compared to other manufacturers models like a civic or Camry.

Expecting more

I had a hybrid 2023 Elantra limited and just recently purchased a 2025. I don’t like the fact that the handle bar is still on the passengers side. It makes the vehicle look tacky and cheap. Also, the car used to have a changing cup holder where you could turn it and it could hold smaller cups of coffee.I don’t like the fact that the area to charge my phone still doesn’t work adequately. It is too small of a space and I have small hands I can’t imagine someone with bigger hands trying to place the phone on the charging mat. The usb plug doesn’t make sense since most phone companies issue out usb c to usb c cables. Why don’t we have wireless Apple car play in a limited version of the vehicle? That is the highest level of hybrid so you would think we could have witless car play.

Fuel Efficent Hybrid with good acceleration

Overall performance is great, tire pressure is not stable,sport mode gives extra acceleration on hills, acceleration is great for entering freeways. Map and phone technology is reliable listen to Spotify and it is solid.

Great Vehicle

The 2025 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid is an overall excellent vehicle. My only two complaints is that it should have left and right cameras as on the Tucson. Also the vehicle doesn’t run in electric mode as much as it should and gas mileage is less than advertised.
