Faulty wire case protection

Failure by Hyundai to cover control wiring for a mere 6 inches cost me $2000 out of my pocket. Hyundai refused to pay. This is my third hybrid, and functional.

12,000 miles in 13 months

The mileage has been terrific, averaging in the low 60s on miles-per gallon, and Sport Mode helps when I need to be spry, but Smart Mode suits me best. We took a 3700 mile trip last month and needed breaks a bit more often, especially in Indiana (a vehicle this light on highways that rough? We came home another way.)

3rd Elantra

This is my 3rd Elantra, but my first hybrid. Fun to drive, and serious improvement on gas mileage. It’s my favorite of the three I have owned. Easy to drive, very comfortable, a great value for the money!

Really good car but great?

My daughter and I bought the 2025 Hyundai Elantra and so far, it's been good. It's a comfortable car, sleek looking, and she gets great gas mileage. The downside, and the only reason I've deducted a star, is because she's already had one one recall. Her last car, a 2017 Hybrid Sonata, had at least one recall too: A failure in the ENGINE! This problem started rearing its ugly head with a check engine light that just wouldn't go away. When we finally thought it was fixed, she was stranded with the blown engine. Had the engine replaced, but the car just started having more problems as it aged...quickly. Anyway, this 2025 Elantra hasn't had any major problems, but it's hard not to worry about the future with the first recall within a year.

My 2nd least favorite car

This is the 2nd least favorite car I have ever owned - and I am an older adult so that's saying something. Previously I leased a Kona, which I liked a lot, then a plug-in hybrid Ionic, which I loved. When the lease was up the dealer made it VERY challenging to buy out the lease and I felt pressured into this car as I wanted a hybrid. It is too low to the ground; it is incredibly uncomfortable on any trip longer than an hour, mileage isn't great. It's not fun to drive, the electrnics are wonky. I just hate it.

One of the Best Hybrids on the road.

The Elantra Limited Hybrid is truly a great car. I consistently get at least 54 mpg. My Sante Fe Hybrid only got around 40. The Elantra has the Turbo engine and the extra horsepower from the high voltage Hybrid battery. Some Hybrids go with a smaller engine the the standard model. The Elantra has the power to make it very drivable and fun to drive. I like the hard buttons for controls rather than all screen controls. The only thing the Elantra needs is more sound deadening like the Sonata. Some people have been critical of the styling, I however got the extra white paint so you can see the great styling.

I love my Elantra. My only complaint is how often the coffee break alert pops for no reason and I can't remove it or at least turn off the volume. Other than that, I do love it.

Elantra Hybrid

I like the features. The issues I have is when it shifts from power to EV. It drives smoother in EV to me then in power for when it switches in hybrid mode. I prefer a spare tire but they have an filler for the tire instead. I like the color of my vehicle as well. Currently my vehicle has an air leak at the back window that no one can fix it seems. All windows are up but once you go over 45mph, you hear this pitched sound.
