Pretty, comfy, bigger than it looks

The car is very comfortable, drives nice, and has a nice roomy interior. My only complaint is that it is a bit bigger than I wanted and I should have gotten 4-wheel drive!

This is my second Elantra and 6th Hyundai.

This is my second Elantra, and while this one was an upgrade from the base model I previously owned, I’ve been disappointed with the powertrain reliability. The CVT transmission, in particular, feels extremely fragile. I had to replace mine at just 40,000 miles due to slipping issues, which is unacceptable for a relatively new vehicle. On the positive side, the technology package is excellent—Hyundai did a great job there. The infotainment system and features are modern and user-friendly. However, comfort is another drawback. The seats are not supportive enough for drives longer than an hour, which makes extended trips uncomfortable. Additionally, this car would greatly benefit from an AWD option for snowy conditions. Even with snow tires installed, it struggles significantly in the snow. The ride height is quite low, and it bottoms out easily in deeper snow, which further limits its winter usability. Overall, while the tech impresses, the drivetrain reliability, seating comfort, and winter performance leave much to be desired.

Unnecessary “handle “

There is an additional handle between the driver and the passenger seat. Why? No satellite radio on base model. Sun visor inadequate, previous model had an extension.
