Almost perfect
For the price, the Hyundai Elantra is an excellent choice—especially for anyone primarily using it for commuting. It’s comfortable, efficient, and packed with practical features that make daily driving easy and convenient.
One of my favorite features is Hyundai Digital Key 2. It’s extremely convenient when you don’t want to carry the bulky, oversized key fob, which honestly feels a bit cheap and clunky. Being able to unlock and start the car with just your phone is a game changer. That said, it’s not always 100% reliable—it works about 80–90% of the time, but occasionally takes 20–30 seconds to connect or fails to unlock entirely.
Performance-wise, the Elantra is smooth and efficient, but I wish it had a bit more power and torque. Driving in Texas, where speed limits are high, it sometimes feels like the car struggles to get up to speed quickly. Even an extra 20 horsepower would make a big difference.
As for the interior, it’s well-designed and feels solid for its price range. The materials are good overall, but I’d love to see more soft-touch surfaces, especially around the center console where you rest your elbow.
Overall, the Hyundai Elantra is a great value car—ideal for commuters who want comfort, technology, and reliability without breaking the bank. A little more power and refinement would make it nearly perfect.
