Great family vehicle

Very quick acceleration doesn't get old! Extremely comfortable and quiet to drive and fun in the Sport setting. Suspension and steering don't offer a lot of feedback, so you won't confuse it for a sports car but the speed makes it lively. The inside is... good but has room for improvement. It is very spacious, the electronics package is fine but for the price of this package, I'd like to see some more finished touches like ambient lighting and potentially a moon roof. Those features come with the luxury package, but that is a much more expensive vehicle. Sound system is just okay. Lack of maintenance is fantastic. The stated EV range before a trip can be misleading when you are driving on the highway - that eats up range and it can be disheartening to see the car recalibrate to the highway mileage. The most glaring issue with the car is an odd one - with no rear windshield wiper, visibility out the back window can be a real problem in rain, snow or on dirt roads. Apparently, the window is supposed to be self cleaning with airflow, but this simply does not work.

A Beautiful, Sporty, Fun Ride

I own a 2022 Model Y and the Ioniq 5 is so much better. It's quieter, rides better on the road, seats and way more comfortable. I feel like my range was more predictable too.

Generally a good experience

Super nice ride, lots of features. Ugly screen bezel. No rear wiper was miserable. Laggy infotainment, especially right after turning the car on. Wish the speedometer didn’t skip numbers, especially in sport mode. Interior design was nice besides the wireless charger being practically inaccessible. Understeers pretty bad, maybe more rear sway bar would help.

Fun to drive worried about reliability

It is very fun to drive, I love the styling. I am concerned about longevity given consumer reports, ICCU issues, and 12v battery issues. Hopefully I never end up having those issues, but given the common issues I am not counting on it.

I have leased the car for one year. Two months in the shop.

It was in the shop for two months. Hyundai corporation did nothing. Dealership was good, supportive, and communicated well. Car is lucky to get a three because of mechanical and supply line issues.

Great EV

The Ioniq 5 has all the features: Range well over 300 miles (10-20 percent less in cold NH winter weather), acceleration is amazing, infotainment/navigation is excellent with a large screen. Handling is quick and responsive with all wheel drive, including in snow. Overall a great value with clean distinctive appearance.
