I wish...

This car is missing at least 2 features that were in both of my Chevy Bolts and one Chevy Bolt EUV: you can't keep it in iPedal and when driving at night you have to activate the auto brights each time. Both were standard on the Chevy. And matte paint is just stupid! I do love the EV range, the very adjustable driver seat and the flat dash (I am short).

Love car with multiple repairs

Love the car's driving and ease of use. Unhappy with plastic air flow flaps in front of car that easily bent and stopped working. 12v died in first 12 months and within a month of that large battery had error message and had to get replaced which took 2.5 weeks.

I absolutely love this car - the features, the room, the handling. I have had issues with the charging system, defects under warranty but required weeks of downtime for the car as parts were not readily available.

Everything Makes Sense

i have had my Hyundai All Electric IONIQ 5 SUV for almost two years (it’s a 2025). What I find most interesting is that everything is where it belongs and it lacks for nothing. So far I have not said, “I wish…”. The car is very comfortable, VERY quiet, has great pick up speed, a huge glass top window, and service has been very good. My car is like many cars, silver in color, but the wheels are unique as are the car handles which are totally recessed in the door and open only when you come near the car. It gets over 400 miles on one charge and I love the interior ambient lighting. It’s a great car!

Two Sides of a Coin

The failure of an important electrical component leaving us without the the car for over a month should not have happened. We are glad it did not happen on the long trip we had just taken (from Los Angeles to Seattle). The car is a strong runner, comfortable, and we charge it on a 110 V line. It needs knobs for climate control as it is difficult and unsafe to try to look down at a screen when driving.

Overall am very happy with my 2025 Ioniq 5, the only thing I would like to add is for charging limits be broken in increment of 5 and not 10. For example charging for 85% or 95%

Excellent but Needs minor changes

Vehicle is great. Minor annoyances to consider Have a small light so you can see the cup holders at night. It’s hard to out your bottle back in holder at night Have setup option to change the climate control degrees to a specific number of degrees when changing temp. Would prefer every 2 degrees when changing temp. Changing every degree is a little too detailed. I have to hit the button too many times to change it 8 degrees. Would be nice to have a button to lock / unlock the climate control buttons. This would keep someone in passenger seat from playing with it or accidentally hitting a button when putting up sun shade. It would default to not locked every time vehicle is started. Have a way to set up my profile to always have car be in a specified drive mode. It’s annoying to have to select sport mode every time I start the car. Redesign the driver’s side leg support so it isn’t in the way of your feet when driving. I can’t get my feet / heels as close to the seat as I would prefer. Mu left foot is able to get back closer to seat by placing it to the far side of the support. Cup holder is too loose. The spring tabs are so loose that my water bottle is not very snug. I have a basic 24 oz hydro flask bottle which is slightly smaller than a can of soda Maybe have an insert to out into one of the holders to make it a differs size. The rear cup holders in the arm rest are useless. My hydro flask bottle won’t fit in there. Trim back the bottom of door frame body style. For a small person with the seat set low, my calf hits the plastic at the bottom of door frame body. My leg/ calf gets a little bruise / tender

High Five for the Ionic 5

Beyond the normal EV quirks, the Ionic 5 is solid, fun to drive, and efficient. Some areas scored low due to what appear to be unaddressed design flaws which, according to several sites, have been present in earlier models.
