Great car with a few faults

Great car. One issue. Too many cryptically labeled controls on the steering wheel. I hit them accidentally and cant toggle them.

Very poor emergency support. One pedal driving, which is the proper way for electric vehicle driving must be selected each time you change gears. Comfortable but missing important elements

Inonic 5

The lift gate has bowed up twice and one was fixed and when it happened again I was told Hyundai would not fix the issue. As a lease you should repair things that are heat related as was the issue.

Hyundai Ioniq5--a great car--safe, good looking, speedy

I have owned a lot of cars in my life including a Porsche 911SC and Lexus Sport Coupe 900. Those were excellent cars, but the Ioniq beats them out in my view. The safety features, openness of the view, spaciousness both head and legs are excellent. It's quiet and very comfortable. The seat heating (all 4 seats) and cooling (front seats) are very nice features. The ability to SEE where you're parking or backing out. It will STOP if something darts in front of you (I had this happen and my car avoided hitting someone who just 'stepped off the sidewalk in the middle of a block'.

Expensive but good so far

Would be better if it was more compact and energy efficient. Seems to turn on randomly to charge the 12v battery for no reason. Smart features aren't needed. Just make reliable, energy efficient, affordable electric cars.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

It’s a good vehicle for the price. I regret getting the matte finish. I wish it had a rearview wiper. Everything else is satisfactory. The mileage is good. Using cruise control with the I-pedal is jarring. Coming out of it jerks the whole car.

Worst customer service

The car itself is awesome. However, when my seats surface starting peeling, they called it normal wear and tear. So apparently seats are designed to wear out and peel before 50,000 miles. Hyundai says the dealer decides on coverage and the dealer says Hyundai decides. Bottom line, no one cares. Buyer beware. Great car unless you have a problem.
