Bluelink is Awful

Customer service received from Bluelink is worse than the DMV. As a combat vet, I've never experienced this level of terrible service and that's including bootcamp haircuts.

Awesome Ride

My first experience driving an all electric car. Love the smooth gliding motion it provides. So glad I decided on another Hyundai and not the infamous Tesla. Love the sleek design of the dashboard in the Hyundai. No screen is directly in your face. And the best part is not having to go to a gas station. Had an electrical charger put in at home thru Hyundai and we also have solar, so it is the best of both worlds.

Pure Epicnessnessnessnessness

I LOVE MY IONIQ5. no regrets switching to an EV from my Dodge Challenger. I loved my challenger but the upkeep after warranty was brutal. Now Im in my Ioniq 5 and its been heaven. Drives smooth excellent range I was able to drive to San Diego and back to LA on 1 charge and still have enough juice to do my daily driving for 2 more days. Charging EVs since I dont have my home set up with charger isn't a chore theres a spot by my house 2 minutes away. I plug in and either watch movies on my phone or play a game on my handheld gaming device or get something to eat at one of the spots in the same lot. I've learned to make charging an outing rather than a chore. Getting back to the car all the safety features available when driving the car do make me feel more secure and at peace when on the road. Comfort gets a 10/10. Very spacious during the day my car is my office for work and theres plenty of room for me to work on my laptop comfortably. There's plenty of cargo space in the back to carry all my gear for work and still enough room for a grocery run. There are so many features on this car and I still ha ent explored them all but I having fun learning everything. Still have yet tried to have it parallel park for me still afraid I might scratch it. Someday ill try it. We'll that's it . Ioniq 5 gets a 10/10 from me.

Great car

It is a truly great car and fun to drive. The ease of plugging into my wall to power it can not be understated from a savings but really an annoyance avoidance. It helps that it has a great deal of pick up and go for a family car.

Auto-lock after 10 mins of exiting car

It would be nice if the Ioniq 5 had an auto-lock feature after 10 mins of all doors being closed. Since the handles stick out when doors are unblocked, it’s very obvious that the doors are unlocked.

Wonderul EV Full of Great Features

This is our second EV and now our favorite. The ride is smooth and no more range anxiety. The interior is a perfect mix of traditional knpbs and buttons coupled with state of the art electronics and displays. The features are so plentiful it will be an adventure to discover all that this EV offers.

Decent vehicle, inconsistent experience and lacking expected functions

The vehicle works just fine, but it changes the drive experience regularly and cannot remember the drive settings between drives. This makes my driving experience inconsistent and unsafe. The vehicle moves forward and backward without input from the driver, the vehicle randomly decides when to be in iPedal 1-4, and it doesn't remember you setting between drives which entirely changes the driving mechanics and functionality of the vehicle. This makes my driving experience unsafe as when I expect it to be stopped, it automatically moves forward on it's own, and braking is inconsistent. When shifting to reverse it changes my iPedal setting yet again, despite having configured it in the same drive, so now my driving expectations are changed again...this is an unaccpetable and arguably unsafe experience. I won't buy another Hyundai if they keep up with this inconsistency. Beyond that, the digital key is half baked, works 75% of the time and never locks on walk away. They designed it specifically to not lock on walk away, but that's one of the most common features of these products for decades, even before digital key...so silly to not automatically lock when I'm not present, especially for a vehicle that advertises from afar it's lock/unlock status via it's door handles. Mechanically, the vehicle feels good, but lots of knocks, bangs and whistles under normal operation. With all windows closed there is a constant whistle that overpowers my stereo at a comfortable volume, the seat belt latches bang against the side of the interior, even when fully retracted...These are minor and I can live with them, but I won't buy another Hyundai due to these issues as well...

Wanting to like

Thought this would be my dream car. Had the car first thing into the dealer because the modem did not work. So no blue link. It took 3 weeks to get back. Then the blue link was very slow it took 4 months to get resolution. I think it is working I’ve only had the car 4 months. Features I thought would be on my limited are not. It is frustrating

Pretty good car, nothing special but totally competent transportation

This is one of the cars in the world. It is very spacious on the inside, as it has the same wheelbase as the larger 3-row Pallisade. The back seat is huge. Very quick off the line, but gets a bit gutless beyond about 55mph, so passing isn't as effortless as I was hoping from an EV. The seats are pretty comfortable, but I've only done about 30 minutes in them, so I can't speak to the longer term comfort. It is very well featured, especially mine which is a mid-level SEL trim. However, at the sticker price of almost $57k, the interior quality isn't anywhere near what you would expect from a luxury brand in the same price range. The 'vegan' materials tend to feel a bit cheap and give off a pretty unpleasant odor not at all reminiscent of the expected "new car" smell. It handles okay, but you feel the weight and the smooshyness of the suspension if you push it even a little hard around a corner. For the kind of driving I do, which is 50/50 city and highway most of the time, I get great efficiency, averaging 3.7 miles per kilowatt hour. I believe this 2025 model has an 84 kW-h battery, meaning I can clear well over 300 miles between charges. Charges fast as well. Overall a perfectly competent machine to move you from one place to another with no fuss.
