Love my Kona

Purchased my Kona September 2023. I love it. Gets great gas mileage and easy to drive. I only wish it had a larger trunk for my occasional overnight stays. But no complaints about anything else.

Horrible on gas mileage. Dealers can't fix oil leaks problems.

storage and noise reduction could be better

I went from owning a 2006 Tucson to this Kona. I didn't realize when I bought this new car that the rear window or hatch window didn't open separately from the door like the Tucson does. I hate the fact that I have to open the entire door and things spill out just to put one more object in there. The design of the 2006 Tucson was far superior if I noticed this when I went to buy the car I would not have bought it. Also the road noise is considerably more in this car than in the Tucson and I unfortunately test drove the vehicle on a smooth street. There's a rattle on the left passenger door inside the handle that helps people get in and out. It screwed in tight but it still rattles is when you go over a rough road and the dealer says they can't do anything about it period now if that had shown up when I test drove it I also wouldn't have bought it. I have to stuff sponges in that handle to keep it from rattling and even that doesn't work most of the time.

Good car with a mind of its own

The vehicles is good and mostly reliable. Fair value, but WAY TOO MANY auto features and alrms that you have no control to turn off. There is no need to tell me the headlights are off or that the car in front of me drove off. If I get out of the car with my climate settings set to my comfort, when I get back in I would like my settings to not return to default.

Great vehicle but one thing keeps it from being Excellent

The Kona is a very fun car to drive. The automatic transmission along with the turbo make acceleration very responsive. The only downside is the inability to control the auto time change. I live between 2 time zones and everytime I i enter one zone, the time changes automatically even when there is no daylight savings in effect. It's a minor inconvenience but with all the technology involved, there should be a manual override. Other than that it's a great car.

Not perfect but darn close

I've had my Kona for 2 years and I love it. Gas mileage is between 35 and 40 mpg depending on the season. My only complaint is the navigation software. It gives directions using street names instead of route numbers. Here in CT there are a lot of roads without signs. The back windshield wiper goes on sometimes when I'm in reverse and the low tire pressure warning starts as soon as the weather gets cold. I put air in but the idiot light won't go off.
