Great Buy
After months of comparing three-row SUVs, I decided on the 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. This SUV feels like it was designed to blend everyday practicality with true luxury, all without the steep price tag of some competitors.
Interior & Comfort
The cabin is where this SUV really shines. The Nappa leather seats, quilted door panels, and microfiber headliner give it a premium feel that honestly rivals vehicles I looked at costing much more. The driver’s seat is extremely comfortable on long drives, and my family loves the second-row captain’s chairs with heating and ventilation. Even the third row is surprisingly roomy, and power-folding makes it easy to configure for passengers or cargo.
Technology
The 12.3-inch touchscreen is crisp and easy to navigate, and the digital gauge cluster adds to the modern feel. The Harman Kardon sound system is excellent, and the surround-view camera has already proven useful in tight parking lots. My only real complaint is that the Palisade still requires a cord for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto—something I expected to be wireless by now.
Performance & Ride
The 3.8L V6 delivers plenty of power for highway merging, and the ride is smooth and quiet. On long trips, the SUV just feels stable and confident. Fuel economy isn’t groundbreaking, but I’ve been getting right around 22 mpg combined, which is acceptable for a vehicle this size. The AWD system has been reassuring in heavy rain, and I like knowing it can tow up to 5,000 lbs if needed.
Safety & Features
Hyundai packed this SUV with safety tech—adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and forward collision avoidance all come standard. The remote smart parking assist is more than a gimmick—it’s been genuinely handy in tight spaces.
Final Thoughts
The Palisade Calligraphy gives me everything I wanted in a family SUV: space, comfort, advanced features, and a touch of luxury. For the price, it’s an incredible value compared to rivals like the Ford Explorer or Honda Pilot. If Hyundai ever adds wireless CarPlay, tuck-in side view mirrors, dual exhaust pipes, this SUV would be nearly perfect.
