This was the perfect vehicle for me at this time in my life

It was perfect to have a vehicle that had a small truck bed, but had four comfortable seats and wasn’t too large of a vehicle. I love the styling of the Santa Cruz and was very surprised at the power behind the engine. The ability to use Apple CarPlay is also wonderful as is all the driving enhancements.

19,000 Mile Toadtrip

Lots of issues. Boil over, shocks went out, self driving is becoming less and less accurate over time. 36,000 miles now, runs rough and has lots of dumb features like putting buttons on the only flat surface (center console). And way over engineered menus with NO HOME button when you’re hopelessly lost.

Great vehicle- audio design is questionable

I hate the audio system. Note- you cannot swap out with an aftermarket system! I really like the vehicle but this may make me look at something else.

Perfect choice mid size truck

I looked at every brand of mid size truck on the market and chose the Hyundai for multiple reasons. Lots of features others charge extra for. The perfect powertrain for my needs. Very comfortable ride, not too stiff or soft with great handling.

Great but close to perfect

After being laid off for 4 months I finally got the truck I’ve been wanting since they came out. Comfort is great, driving is great, I get good gas mileage and still get to do truck things. My only complain is all the glossy piano black. It looks really nice but it collects so much dust. I also wish Hyundai would compete with other compact and midsize trucks in the market and offer a TRUE off-road capable version. Yes, I understand that’s what the XRT is supposed to mimic but the additions to that vehicle are mostly cosmetic. I want to see beefed up suspension, a more advanced AWD mode, something I can upgrade to in a few years and go overland camping with if I wanted to while my friend is in his jeep or drive on the beach, things like that.

Just imagine that you are planning a trip across the country and you just got into your vehicle, do you have enough storage, Check, is the vehicle going to be comfortable to drive for a long trip, Check! As you start off on your journey, the thought crosses your mind, "Let's Go" and a smile crosses your face. Good job Hyundai.

Dead stop acceleration

I've had continued issues with Dead stop acceleration, waiting to merge into traffic, I have to wait for big gaps to merge, since this vehicle takes forever to get up to speed for the 1st 10 feet, I've tried multiple ways to take off. and nothing seems to help. I Keep hoping maybe a new software update for transmission or accelerator is in the works? I've driven my neighbor's Non-turbo Sant Cruz with automatic transmission and it takes off from dead start much quicker than my Dual clutch turbo. Other than transmission issue I love my Santa Cruz rides nice, drives and handles great.
