All-round Excellent Vehicle

Went for the "Limited" option and glad I did. Turbo power, leather interior, and other features make it look and drive like a luxury vehicle. Is it a car? Is it a truck? Yes & Yes! Nicely performs the function of both. Not a heavey duty pickup truck, but sufficient for hauling household loads.

what could be better

overall, reliable. the voice dial, or handless function keeps knocking off, requiring me to re set my phone to the car. on occasion, the transmission seems to be stuck in a gear, especially while accelerating. The dealer said, no codes show up...but the issue continues. the engine seems to struggle occasionally

SC 2024 Limited Review

I do enjoy driving my SC. However I’m not happy with the gas mileage. I’m usually sub 20 MPG. Ali the tonneau cover had already malfunctioned and requires replacement. Parts on order. I think for what I paid I probably could’ve gotten a Tacoma with a similar setup and better gas mileage. No idea why it didn’t come with wireless CarPlay or seat memory. The menu on the entertainment center could be better designed. Home Screen access is frustrating.

Screen for vehicle control while driving should be OUTLAWED

You probably know that, about the screens and driver attention. My 2011 Miata is all KNOBS. So, except for that, it's got a LOT of get-up for a smallish 4 cylinder. Having moved shortly before getting the Santa Cruz to ft. Collins, CO, the wayfinding has been an enormous help. But hint, Hyundai should publish logoed paper maps. Try as I might, even on a reasonably sized desktop computer screen, getting the right scope of an area while also able to read the street names is not a successful endeavor. Growing up when maps were free at gas stations, nothing, nothing replaces what they provided. So, all other things about the Santa Cruz are mostly wonderful A bit longer bed, sometimes could be nice, but it is what it is; love the locking cover and the tie-downs are ample.

Love my hobbit truck

Having the base model it is nice though drivers seat not comfortable at all. I had to put a cover on bed which works well as well as window deflectors as even a crack open in rain you get soaked. Engine/transmission gets goofy at times as well cruise control will stop you from accelerating if you bump it while turning so a bit of a nuisance. Love that it is a truck yet still a car 🙂
