The vehicle was great until about 2 months, now in the shop ever since

I liked this car and was able to drive it for the first two 1/2 months. Then it had a shifter malfunction occur where it would get stuck in the gear and not let me shift to any other gear or turn the car off. Been at the dealership getting work done on it for almost 2 months now. Dealership techs tried 3 different parts which didn’t fix the issue. Now having to replace the whole transmission, which they still don’t know if that will even fix the issue. Still not fixed, still can’t drive it. Been in the shop for half the time I’ve owned it.

Great Car

The only problem is it needs work on the program for keeping your eyes on the road, I have it on and i am looking at the road and it keeps going off , if i have cruise control on it turns it off and drops my speed that has almost caused me to get rear ended many times because i am on the freeway.I have a running joke that it must want me to get out and put my eyes on the road, because looking at it doesn't work good enough.

Great SUV, I give it 4.8 Stars

Holds 6 adults with all their luggage for a week long winter trip. Will not hold 7 with luggage unless you use a roof rack. My 16 year old grandson liked the view from the back seat but it is a bit hard for me to get back there. It did not have a spare tire but my grandson and I installed one. I took it off the lot so I did not get a trailer hitch but I will add one. Also did not get the roof hand holds on the side which would really be nice when you use the roof rack but the rails are ok hand holds. Very quiet, smooth ride. Cruise control is great, but does accelerate faster and brake harder than I do, wish I could smooth it out a bit. Great price compared to comparable SUVs. Have not used the service package yet but looks good. Love the extra storage between the front seats.

Very smooth ride, good handling and excellent gas mileage for a big car. The electronics make it pretty complicated - not always intuitive controls. Still on the learning curve

My brand-new Hyundai Santa Fe started making a strange noise at just 700 miles. I’ve taken it to the service center multiple times—one tech even heard it, and I have over 15 videos documenting the problem. I left it for repair (and was given a beat-up old van as a “loaner”), only to be told that since they couldn’t hear the noise that day, they can’t fix it. This is unacceptable for a new vehicle, and I would never recommend buying one.

Amazing comfort at an affordable price

I love the comfort and reliability of my Santa Fe. This SUV has a spacious 3rd row that provides ample cargo space when put down. I appreciate the bells and whistles such as pulling in and out of tight spaces, thumb print ID and the heated seats are wonderful. I also love being able to customize the interior lighting color!

Smooth and roomy
