Mostly luxurious at a standard price

While we've had a few issues, the Santa Fe Hybrid has been mostly a win for this family. It has survived two trips from NY to Florida and back, including one with some heavy snow during which the AWD and safety features kept us alive. It's been a great, comfortable hauler to many travel youth sports tournaments as well. The issues are mostly minor (broken seat back pocket, broken power drivers seat), but Bluelink has been completely dead for more than a month at the time of this review. The biggest complaint was having to replace all four tires after one year and just under 20k miles. The car can buck at times when traveling at slower speeds, which I'm told is the double clutch, and the gas mileage isn't great for a hybrid, but overall, the family enjoys our Atlantis Blue ride (we've named it Bandit) and look forward to many years of trips around town and around the country.

The tires do have a manufacturer warranty of their own, we recommend reaching out to your tire manufacturer regarding tire warranty. Solid and Stylish

It's rare you see a car with such a impactful exterior design in the SUV class but this one is awesome and the space is very well utilized with the 3rd row having great utility and space. The tech for the price is really good but the engine is a little disappointing with slow pickup from stop and slightly low MPG for a hybrid. Overall I'm happy with the Santa Fe and there is more good than bad but I would love to see improvements to the highway assist and smart features. I get yelled for not looking at the road when I really am, which is really annoying. I wish the option for a plug-in hybrid was available, I would have really wanted that.

Nice Drive but Unreliable

Our Santa Fe is a fun vehicle to drive. We have had 2 bigger issues with it with little customer support. A small pebble hit the windshield, which caused it to crack all the way across the window. It was a small enough pebble that it could bare be heard when it hit. Likely a defective windshield, but I had to cover it with insurance. Then nobody knew how to calibrate the HUD. I have driven for over 40 years and have never had this happen unless it was a bigger piece of foreign material. The major issue is that we have had the vehicle become fully dead when parked. It was so dead that the doors would not unlock. The dealership could not duplicate the issue either time and they included engineers to help troubleshoot the issue. I even called the service department when the vehicle died the 2nd time and the told me to jump it and bring it in. I am worried we will be traveling somewhere and have it die in the middle of nowhere. I discussed it with customer service and they basically said they couldn't duplicate the issue so there is nothing they could do. I only asked for a replacement vehicle since this one is apparently defective. They know I have a defective car and will not remedy the situation.
