Unreliable

The vehicle, a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, has experienced five separate incidents of complete shutdown while in operation. During each occurrence, the vehicle lost all electrical power with no warning, to the extent that hazard lights could not be activated. This creates a serious safety risk, particularly when driving with young children. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the dealership, including service advisors and master technicians; however, they have been unable to duplicate the issue or identify the cause. As a result, no repairs have been successfully made. I have contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs and initiated a case with the manufacturer. Despite this, the process has been extremely slow, with limited follow-up and no resolution to date. Due to the repeated power failures, lack of diagnosis, and absence of corrective action, the vehicle is unreliable and unsafe for a family with young children.

Santa Fe all the way

Having owned a previous 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, I was quite impressed with what the 2024 Santa Fe had to offer that wasn’t available on my previous vehicle. While initially I wasn’t impressed with the boxy style, the vehicle had more than ample room for my needs. Spacious and premium interior, captain chairs in the second row which included wifi connectors for rear passengers. Impressive cameras.

Neat looking but bad Transmission

Transmission slips and jerks. The ride is rough. I have the Calligraphy, why did the manufacturer choose to black out the top model? Black wheels are ugly, black name plates are ugly, not name of model on the entire SUV.

2024 SantaFe

Hyunai needs to have a minimum of updates. I don't like looking at a completely different screen and have to start all over again to learn it. That irritates me the most.

SantaFe 2024

I got into my car this morning and behold you changed how the screen looked which was completely different from the day before. What a joke. Why can't you leave well enough alone. I wanted a car, not a computer to drive. I don't really have enough time to look up what all of the changes mean. I had just learned the screen and you change it. I have to learn it all over again. What genius thought the changes were necessary. I would really like to go back to a 20 year old vehicle right now. I need to use the GPS and now it has changed and how to use it is different. I am driving a car not an airplane. I stop the car one day and two days later I am in a different car. Please quit changing it. It is not helpful.

Front brake rotors

The brakes are either undersized or produced with cheap steel! The rotors have been turned twice in 15000 miles and feel as though they are close to needing to be done again. I’ve been driving for 57 years and never had this problem with any of my vehicles. I baby the brakes, not driving or braking hard. Hyundai is aware of this problem but chooses not to do a recall. A total redesign is needed for the front brakes. I’ll never buy Hyundai again!

Great SUV

This is a high end vehicle in every way! Handles great in all weather and gets looks everywhere. I went with the matte finish on the Caligraphy Edition. I wish it was easier to care for but other than that I'm extremely satisfied!

Overall a great car. Several design flaws: a. underpowered b. can't lift wipers to clear snow, hood does not accommodate this c. Seat belts that are not being used make rattling noises d. Factory windshield wipers are sub standard e. Apple Carplay can have glitches and become quirky.

My overall experience with the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has been below average and disappointing. While the exterior design initially appeared appealing, the vehicle has been plagued by multiple technical and operational issues that have significantly impacted reliability and confidence in the product. Most notably, the vehicle required replacement of the entire dashboard and screen assembly, which is an extreme repair for a vehicle of this age. In addition, the Santa Fe has been subject to various recalls, further reinforcing concerns about build quality and long-term dependability. There have also been ongoing operational issues, including instances where the vehicle fails to shift gears properly, creating both safety and drivability concerns. Compounding these problems has been the consistently poor service received from the dealership. Communication has been lacking, issues have not been addressed in a timely or thorough manner, and the overall approach has left us feeling dismissed rather than supported as customers. Rather than providing reassurance, the dealership experience has added frustration and uncertainty. As a result, we feel stuck with a vehicle that continues to present unresolved problems and little confidence that these issues will ever be fully corrected. This experience has fallen well short of expectations for a new vehicle and has significantly diminished trust in both the product and the brand.
