I like everything about the car except the engine, its take off performance is poor and very annoying, im thinking about trading it in for that reason alone!

While this Santa Fa is the same as our 2021 Santa Fa limited we loved

The mileage is not the same at 22 miles a gallon I will trade it in and get another firms suv.

Was the car of dreams until transmission error 3 mos after purchase.

Loved this car until 3 months after purchase car gave a transmission error and locked itself in accessory mode. I could not turn car off or on all the way. Had to walk home and leave car. I had it towed to dealership and it’s been there 3 weeks. Very disheartened to spend so much on a dream car to have this major issue happen with no resolution yet. Hope they compensate me for rental car. I’m paying a car payment with no car. Hope Hyundai will step up and help.

Second Thoughts

The vehicle when put in gear doesn’t move in a smooth manner. It’s jerky and is not a smooth movement.

I need more space, more then 70 characters

I havent heard back from the dealer, they were suppose to tint my windows and fix my rim that was damaged when they put gas. I guess that's a dealer issue

Drives well - wifi not accessible and customer svc not helpful

No issues with the main features of this car. I find it extremely annoying re: customer service. I tried to active the wifi on multiple occasions. Forget the fact that it was supposed to come with a month free which nobody seems to know how to activate - but they can't even activate wifi that I WANT TO PAY FOR. Hyundai says contact verizon. Verizon says contact hyundai. Dealer has absolutely no clue. While this is something so small, it gives a sour taste and might make me turn to another company next time around.

Better than expected but needs improvement

Technology that goes into it is great. Never driven a Hyundai and was forced upon me by my company however, overall it is good. Rear sensors are too sensitive breaking even from traffic on the other side of the lane stopping my vehicle from on direct on-coming taffic from far away and it takes too long for the vehicle to recover. By the time, it's recovered, there's a long line of cars backed up. In the morning, engine sounds is not so good, making a strange sound from the engine or transmission. Once the engine warms up, then it's fine. Have had the car for 70 days now and starting to see the molding parts warp in several locations.

Fine vehicle with great, functional tech.

I tested a number of other vehicles but the Santa Fe was the only one that made me say "Yes - THIS is the one." I have found it very comfortable to drive, with great handling. It has a staggering amount of space inside for passengers and/or cargo. The fuel efficiency has been very favorable for a vehicle of this size and trim - typically about 25 MPG mixed between city and highway driving. I've found the engine power to be sufficient for my needs but have experienced some odd sensations from the transmission at times, which many other owners have reported as well. The exterior styling was very appealing to me for reasons I can't quite identify. Maybe it was the rugged, utilitarian shape and style borrowed from the Mercedes G or Land Rover Defender? I know I preferred the "truck-like" design to the many homogeneous curvy/bubbly shaped SUVs and Crossovers that dominate the market. To that point, I would not have considered the previous generation Santa Fe based on its appearance. One other exterior note - Hoping it was a fluke and not a by-product of design, I did have to replace my windshield due to a stone ding, then crack, after just three weeks of owning it. The interior is very well apportioned and provides comfort without isolation from the feeling of driving. Little nooks for storage can be found all over the car. Seats are endlessly adjustable and both heating and cooling functions are very nice to have. One of the most helpful pieces of tech I've found is the heads up display. I really like seeing the helpful information it provides at eye level instead of looking down. At times the amount of information displayed on all the screens can be a little overwhelming, but there are user settings I'm just getting into which will allow some changes there. I have just started using the voice commands which are especially helpful with the climate controls since the manual controls are absent any physical buttons. The touch screen buttons are very attractive but provide no tactile identification or feedback, which means looking directly down at them when making a change. Not ideal. There are manual knobs for temp and fan speed but other controls are all flat on the console and can be tricky to navigate. The drive assist functions are better than I'd expected. Standard lane assist is helpful but not overbearing. Smart Cruise is fabulous! The ability to set a speed in fast, slow or even stop-and-go traffic completely changes the driving experience for me, relieving maybe half the stress of driving. When on the interstate and Highway Drive Assist combines the lane correction and Smart Cruise into an almost-auto driving experience, it really makes long trips more enjoyable. I'm only 4000 miles into my ownership at this point so the most important aspect of the vehicle, long term reliability, remains to be seen. I retired my previous vehicle after 12 years and 205k miles, so my expectations on longevity are high, to say the least.

The glove compartment light works less than half time cause a short.

Glove compartment wiring needs to be addressed as well as the windows and windshield as they are too thin. I know I have a warranty on the windows but I will definitely have to get the front windshield replaced forsure due to the chips I already have from just simply driving on the highway. It’s a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe with less than 2,000 miles this is ridiculous. Fix these issues please and I we’ll see how the rest goes in the future when it comes to the motor and transmission.
