A Lemon

It took most of the first year and a half for the electronics issues to be solved, creating a dangerous situation with the brakes locking up on the freeway AFTER I had called the dealer to report the brake and engine lights. I was told it was safe as long as they were not flashing.

Worth the wait

The 2023 Tucson Hybrid is a terrific vehicle, though I had to wait almost nine months after "requesting" it. Limited trim line has all the features I could need: smooth, comfortable ride, all the safety features, 360 degree cameras for parking and reverse driving assistance, rear-view cameras when using turn signals to change lanes. The pickup from the added electric motor has helped me avoid trouble on a couple occasions. My only two beefs are: old style analog speedometer instead of full time digital, which my Wife's vehicle has and to which I have become very happily accustomed; and lack of a spare tire. I've had two punctures which leaked slowly enough that I was able to get home using the inflator in the Tire Mobility Kit, and which could be patched. If that hadn't been the case, I could have been stuck for a long time, given the hit or miss results I've read about using the flat fixing compound in the Kit. Overall, quite happy with the SUV and consider it a close second in the list of favorite vehicles we have owned.

Tucson review after nearly 2 years

My Tucson is vey comfortable for bottling and short drives (recently drove 700 miles in 12 hours). And my hybrid is extremely economical. I would by this car again.

2023 tuscon hybrid

liked the ride and is vary quiet. liked most of the features. climate control system is a little different. BIG disappointment in MPG Not even close to vehicle estimated mpg. for this reason I would only recommend this vehicle if MPG was not important to buyer

A Pleasure to Drive This Vehicle

Driving this car is a real pleasure. It is quiet and luxurious. the trim is clean and modern, and the electronics are top notch. The issues that keep me from giving it a 5-star rating are somewhat lower than expected gas mileage, a persistent check engine light that the shop can't seem to fix, and the small text of the infotainment system, a problem that is common with electronic devices these days. Another highly rated feature is the maintenance guarantees. The free parts support expires after the first year, but I have had the car for three years and have not had to pay for any maintenance or parts. Oveerll I highly recomm4nd this vehicle.

Very capable hybrid

The Tucson Hybrid combines excellent efficiency with excellent performance. It has been a reliable and versatile car that has very few drawbacks. It is our “road trip car” since it gets good mileage on the road and is also roomy and comfortable. We have not yet had any problems requiring service beyond typical preventative maintenance.

The initial purchase was sub optimal as there were lies fed to us through the grapevines. Once we finally received the vehicle the following day the AC went out and the sellers were not trying to take accountability. It was fixed three times before it finally was consistently working. Love the car but quite disappointed in the fuel economy. Overall performance is 30.2 mpg after a couple of road trips over the summer. Prior to that it was 29.9.

Mostly Great SUV

The HVAC system's "auto" mode is crazy, one moment its blowing cold air, next moment its blowing hot air, then back to cold. It changes the vent direction all the time. It just doest make sense, but the dealership says that's "normal". I've never had an HVAC auto system this that acts like that. When outside temp is about 80-90F there is an intermittent problem with the blinker system. System will say rear bulbs are out but they're not. Dealership can't figure it out. The car has about 20K miles on it and the transmission sticks when shifting from second to third gear, engine will rev then drop into gear. Value for money only if buying pre owned.
