Bad mpg

Why mpg so bad? I purchaed based on Hyundai claim that it gets up to 38 mpg, but I only get about 26 mpg.

Meets or exceeds most expectations

Many aspects of this vehicle meet or exceed my expectations. It drives, rides, and handles well. The safety technology works as expected. Acceleration in sport mode exceeds expectations, and in standard eco mode it meets expectations well. Fuel economy is good in most circumstances. Interior has a nice look and feels roomy for the size. Cargo capacity with the rear seats folded is very good.

2024 Tucson Hybrid

I bought it in Sep 2023. Hated the color (I don't remember the name of it but it is so dark blue, it looks black) but it was all they had and they said they couldn't find a different one. Fine. Two years later, I've really realized how bad I hate the color. Living in AZ, you really don't want a dark colored car in 110+ temps! I do like the looks of it outside, especially the wheels! Inside is nice too. Well except the dark interior. Again not good in the heat. It drives nice and rides nice, even the backseat (so I'm told)! It takes awhile to get used to push button gears, if you're used to using a gear stick/shifter. Overall I really like the car! There is one big thing though that has had me thinking about getting a new car. The gas mileage sucks!! Especially being a hybrid. My last car got, on avg, 43-45 mpg consistently. This car barely gets 32mpg regularly. And I don't think I've seen it go over 35 mpg! The end of the year is coming, tis the season to start researching new cars again.

Inefficient Hybrid & Subpar Infotainment System

It only gives 27 mpg or less on highways. Locally when temperature is 50-80 F it gives the posted 36-39 mpg. Apple Carplay does not connect via Bluetooth but other 2024 Hyundai cars connects to Apple Carplay via Bluetooth.

Rattle = Crazy

I love my Tucson, great ride and comfortabl but it has a rattle and driving me nuts. I told the dealer about it but nothing was done. I wish I could get it out of the car but so far no luck.

Love the except for the backup alarm.. it is extremely loud. When I need to leave the house early is the morning I need to back in the night before or I will wake up the neighbors. Per the service department, they are unable to remove it or tone it down
