Road Noise

We have a road noise that sounds like a plastic bag flapping. Cannot take it on road trips....had to buy anothercar for road trips.

Very good vehicle, dealer service not so good.

2024 backup alarm is comical at best. EVERYONE knows you are backing up... the backup alarm sound is like the handicap electric grocery carts, only much, MUCH louder. Hyundai dealer service is not good. Two issues. First, after three visits to the Duluth, Minnesota Hyundai dealer service garage, they have failed to fix an annoying rattle in the front end of the car. They can not even agree on where the rattle is coming from. Second, one Friday morning we went to start our Tucson Hybrid in our home garage and found the car completely dead, no electrical power at all. We called the dealership where we bought the vehicle in Duluth (90 miles away) and they told us it would be 7 days before they could fit us in and we would have to have the car towed to them. We then called a second Hyundai dealership in Baxter Minnesota (90 miles away in the opposite direction) they said they could fit us in the Monday AND that we had free roadside service that covers towing. Why didn't Duluth Hyundai mention that to us? Neither Duluth or Baxter Hyundai service desks asked us if we tried using the 12volt reset switch. We did not know it existed or what it did. Granted, there is an explanation buried in the hundreds of pages in the owners manual, and there is a dash mounted 12volt reset switch below the steering wheel. Why didn't either service desk ask us if we tried to use the 12volt reset switch? Had they, the problem would have been fixed immediately. So, after not being able to use the car for 3 days and having the car towed 90 miles to Baxter we are told nothing is wrong with the vehicle and that we should have used the 12volt reset switch. We then drove 180 miles round trip to retrieve our Tucson. This is poor service by any standard.

Very Good overall

I have the Tucson Hybrid SEL model. This is a very good vehicle overall. There are a few minor annoyances. For example, a vehicle at this level should have a heated steering wheel. That's about the only feature I think it REALLY needs and doesn't have. The gas mileage that I have seen is mostly pretty good, but the highway mileage is nowhere near the rated highway mpg (36). I'm lucky if I get 21 mpg at true highway speeds. Even if I slow down to only 55, which is well below most highway speed limits these days, I'm still only getting 22-23 max.
