I love my Tucsan because it is reliable and gets me excellent gas mileage. I am complimented on the interior quality compared to Toyota, all in all i am happy with my purchase..

It’s just OK

It’s not going to knock your socks off but it gets good gas mileage, the side cameras are a major plus but they could have better resolution. The car is zippy, the stereo is pretty good, and the extra long sunroof is fantastic. Lots of room in the back. Wish the seats laid flat when using the trunk but it’s pretty spacious. It has a constantly rattle near the drivers door they can’t get rid of. Paint has chipped. The navigation is mediocre. A volume knob would be SO useful - hate the push button volume controls but use the steering wheel controls almost exclusively. No wireless CarPlay is a travesty.

Things to consider changing on the Tucson Hybird SEL Convenience AWD

Overall I like the car itself But these are features I think should be included. 1. The seat needs to have the ability to rise higher for shorter people. I'm 5 ft tall. I didn't have a problem in my last vehicle. From the highest position I can't comfortably see as clearly as I would like over the driver side mirror or the hood. If I choose to use a seat pillow, I can't use the heated seat. 2. I think this model deserves the 'saved seat' position memory. It takes me awhile to find the best position for vision to start with & so I had to put red tape marking on the seat matches the sweet spot on console to avoid trying to readjust it every time another driver uses it. Even my 2005 Chrysler Town & country had seat memory. 3. It would be helpful if the screen had a tactile knob, button, or voice command to control the heat/AC, defrosters & speeds to run them at. It is too distracting to change when driving, as you have to see & touch the screen & irritating as it can't be done safely when on long drives on the freeway. 4. I think it would be great to have an open shelf above the glove box like some Toyota Highlanders have. There is no place for the driver to put anything within reach (as m iphone takes up the space in front of the console) except if the passenger seat is empty. The low nook to the right of the drivers seat is too shallow & not easy to reach & stuff falls out, especially since my seat has to be a bit further forward to see.

Noisy engine

Great car ruined by a noisy engine. This is my fifth Hyundai but first hybrid. I have owned two other Hyundai with the direct injection turbo 1.6l engine and neither one sounded like this.

Everything is nice except the tech. Seams like other cars have updated maps and mine does not. Safety. Keep your hands on steering wheel is annoying. All the bells and whistles are not worth it. They don’t work 100% of time. And the adaptiv cruise is so clunky(probably like everyone else’s)

Coolant and oil leaks on a brand new car?!?!?!

Disappointed in the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited. I can smell coolant when I pull the car into the garage. No obvious leaks. At two months old and ~2,000 miles I noticed the ICE coolant level was a little low (it was exactly at the Max line when new). OK, maybe there was a little bit of air the the system that needed to get worked out... no big deal. Brought it back up to the Max line. Five months later the coolant level is below the Min line. I can still smell coolant when pulling into the garage. Take it to the dealer. Could not find leak. To top things off, the dealer does not add any coolant. Really, what does the Min level mean then? The factory trained mechanics at the dealer must think the Min level is just a suggestion? Maybe they know better than Hyundai's engineers... A week later, I take it back to the dealer. Still cannot find the leak. This time they overfill the coolant above the Max line. Really? Is the Max line just a suggestion? Do the engineers not know what they are doing? Obviously the mechanics know better... Now it is a year later and the coolant is below the Min line. How far below Min is OK (since the lines are really just a suggestion, right?) Maybe Hyundai will reach out to me and let me know how low is OK. Issue two... oil leak from the lower to upper oil pan flange. Really?!?!? On a brand new car??? In 2024??? This is not rocket science. How did something so obvious get overlooked at the factory? Issue three - depreciation. My 18 month old Tucson with below average miles has depreciated nearly $20k. Wow. why is that? Are Hyundais really that bad?

Hybrid Tucson 2024

The vehicle is amazing for style and comfort. Very roomy and comfortable. But there is too much touch screen controls which can be distracting for the driver. And while there are a lot of programmable conveniences. I do not need to be told to take a coffee break or that the lead vehicle is leaving.
