Comfort, efficiency, features, performance and price

The interior finishes to me feel better than the comparable vehicles in this class. Everything is placed perfectly to be convenient to use while operating the vehicle. The seats are still very comfortable after a year of ownership. The features including the touchscreen, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, any buttons, any knob’s, all still function like brand new. The safety features all still function as well as day one also. For the price I paid, I got more extras than I would have with the comparable models from other manufacturers. The responsive acceleration of the Tucson exceeded the other models and still does when merging into traffic. The Tucson has incredible gas mileage for the size, and very comfortably has accommodated 4 people with luggage on road trips both short and long. Great sound system that is easy tuned the way you want it. Ambient interior color lighting, a panoramic sunroof and soft finish interior round out the vehicles creature comforts nicely. 10/10 would buy again, but it’s only a year old, so I’ll keep this one for a while.

Good car horrible gas milage

I bought this car hoping for better gas milage as I drive 100 miles per day. My average mpg is 29. It was advertised as getting 38. No matter how slow or fast I drive it is always at 29 mpg and its a Hybrid! My husband has a Ford F150 and gets 26 mpg and its not a hybrid. Very disappointed

Couple of issues

Good overall so far (less than a year). Two issues; 1) if it sits for a few days the 12V battery goes to sleep and it's difficult to enter the vehicle to reset and 2) seems to not go into EV mode easy or often enough.

Battery issue

I was not informed that the battery could go dead after a week of not driving it. Had it jumped twice and then one of the techs at my last service told me about the button inside the car which gives the battery an extra boost to start the car. This is great but if the car is locked it is difficult to remove the handle cover to use the fob key to enter the vehicle. Also wish the console and storage compartment was better organized with compartments for storage of phones, glasses etc. All people from the dealership are very nice and helpful. I really appreciated the video emails with tips for how to use all the features.

The car is fine, media center not so much

The media center has been a constant disappointment from the 5th month of ownership on, and current. The problem comprises of 2 parts, 1 that is a Hyundai part (the screen) and 2 (the media center module), that is a 3rd party product. Originally, the screen would flash many times when you hit a bump in the road. Also, every few days, the display center would wipe out all preset radio stations as well as jumble up the settings on the AC/Defrost/temp control, etc. The 1st service was to replace the screen. That took care of the flashing screen, however, it was inconvenient to have to go back a 2nd time since all the clips necessary were not included when the part shipped. This did not take care of the media center module, though. I had to schedule 3 weeks in advance because the dealership had to 1) get me a loaner car scheduled for a "3 day service", and 2) they had to bring in an electrical engineer to test it before they are allowed to order that module via warranty. I brought it in as scheduled, however, due to "a back order problem", my car was there for 30 days before the module was replaced. When I picked it up, the Navigation system was not loaded. This is a 2 - 3 hour process they said, but supposedly I could do it myself via a file on Hyundai's website. This sounded like an option since it was a weekend and I would have to wait a couple of days to bring it in. Although Hyundai has the website, the download file is "unavailable until quarter 4 2025" according to the download page. So, Monday morning, I brought the car in for service to load it. After sitting for 2 hours, I was told that this new module is faulty and won't accept the files, so another module is on order and should arrive in 6 to 9 business days. That was June 30, today is July 15, and there has been no word. This makes me question the viability of a 10 year warranty. Will all service be like this?

We love the accelation this vehicle has, great gas mileage, lots of accessories. No hard changing gears to let you know it is a hybrid. We love this car, smooth ride. Auto trunk opener.
