Love Our Tucson Hybrid

Love every thing about it. The phone app makes it a breeze. The technology is amazing. And no charge, as Toyota does a monthly fee, for the remote start.

Nice car, subpar gas mileage

I bought this car new and got the top trim package. We wanted a hybrid to help with gas mileage (obviously) but so far have been disappointed in that. We’re only getting 26-28 mpg, much less than the advertised 38 mpg. I was told by the dealership to keep track of it and see if it improves. Other than that it’s a very nice car. Lots of features and comfortable, quiet drive.

Rides Great, But Annoying Warnings

I llove the car, but it's on screen dingings and warnigs are not accurate. Recently, it messaged me on my phone that my car was in an accident. Stressed me out. It was not. It was sitting in my garage. No accident... As I was on the highway, staring at the road, a ding came on that told me to keep my eyes on the road. They were. Then it did it again ten minutes later... My loaded vehicle has everything but rear back up sensors. Why not?

Fun ride

It’s quiet, smooth, and sips gas like it’s on a budget. The hybrid system switches so seamlessly you forget it’s even working—until you realize you’re not at the pump again. Plenty of power when needed, zero drama otherwise. Inside feels way fancier than we expected. Big screens, comfy seats, and enough tech to make us feel responsible and modern. The ride is smooth, the cargo space is legit, and the safety features are like having a polite, non-judgmental co-pilot. In short: it’s practical, efficient, and somehow still fun. We came for the gas mileage and stayed for how much we like driving it.

I downgrade from Tucson Limited and a I miss some of the extra safety feature, able to view cars on the side lanes approaching. Do not care for the gear box, inconvenient and limited viewing. Trying to save some money but disappointed with features.

Sporty even in Eco Mode

I was ready to get rid of my 10-year-old gasoline car, but not ready to go full electric. The Hyundai Tucson HEV is a good choice for others looking to do the same. I tried all of the trim levels and the SEL Convenience package hit the sweet spot of technology that helps and doesn't distract. The tuning on this model also was more taut and sporty, even in Eco Mode. The only cons that I've found is that there might be a little bit too much technology and it glitches sometimes - like the hatch opening when I just walk by the car - and the learning curve for all this glorious technology can be a bit steep (like the exact phrases to use for voice commands). But, I'm getting 33.6 MPG in mostly city driving and that's savings at the pump! So overall, I'm happy and would recommend this vehicle.
