Love my new 2026 Tucson Hybrid

A pleasure to drive, still getting used to all the features. Only downside I have found is the wireless charger is so inefficient it actually drains my iPhone. I will revert to a plug in charger.

Tina the Tuscon

I downsized from an Expedition to the Tuscon mainly for fuel mileage purposes. I was really excited about the opportunity to get 40mpg; however, that is only if you are driving in heavy traffic and in the city. I felt like I was slightly misled about the gas mileage, even though the salesman knew my situation. While I'm sure most people would say this car is roomy, which for the most part it is, coming from a bigger vehicle, I've had a slight struggle getting used to the lack of storage and room available. Overall comfort when traveling is great. I absolutely hate the adaptive cruise and the inability to turn it off; that is a wreck waiting to happen.

Great vehicle with a few easily fixed flaws

Rides well, controls well placed and easy to understand. A few very strange flaws, some easily correctable. No walkaway door locks, although the car knows when you approach or walk away, and you CAN lock the car remotely via the Bluelink app. The technology is there. It's a minor software upgrade. Why are the key fobs not linked the the driver IDs? Again, a serious omission in that you have to select your profile after the other driver was the last driver. With seat & mirror settings sometimes getting confused. This isn't easily fixed without replacing the fobs, but is something that can be fixed in future models.

Nice Vehicle, but some flaws

Overall, nice vehicle, but has some flaws. The infotainment screen is once in a while a little hard to figure out. You would think that you would be able to speak to it and go to the radio channel you want, but that doesn’t happen. Gas mileage is a lot lower than they said for this hybrid, which is strange cause I had a 2023 Santa Fe hybrid that got better than an estimate. He has a very annoying take a break warning it comes on all the time. You could remove this warning from all Hyundai’s built until 2026 but with a new 26 models no way to get rid of it. Sometimes it comes on at the worst possible times and overrides the verbaldirections when you might need to make aturn.

Review should be six months in, not at this stage.

I would like to see a chart, easy to read, showing the different functions on the car ..... so far I find it difficult to navigate and still learning. I am a senior citizen.
