Five months in, one issue but otherwise a great vehicle

After almost five months, still loving my Tucson. I have one issue where the cameras sometimes don't work when I'm parking or backing up (I get a green screen instead, that says "No Camera Signal Received"). Took it into the dealer and the service technician was able to narrow it down to a loose connection in the dashboard harness. The replacement part has been ordered and the service tech gave me a workaround to get the cameras to come back on when that green screen comes up. I really appreciate that.

Solid choice for all the options you need

I’m still trying to get use to all the features and upgrades in this car, that I’ve had for four months. This is my first hybrid, and the transition from gas to electric is always very smooth. The ride is comfortable, and I agree with consumer reports that the only real negative was the gear shifter being different than what most people are used to… But I got used to it in a day or two I’m very happy with this purchase, and I would buy it again!

Fun to Drive

We have only driven the hybrid Tucson locally so far. We chose the non-plugin model for its economy and dependability. We have heard too many bad reviews on plugins trying to find compatible charging stations. We are happy with our choice.

Love this car

I love my Tuscon hybrid. It is comfortable, easy to drive and gets great mileage for an AWD. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a garage door opener.

Almost perfect

Easy to drive with good features. Adaptive cruise and lane assist are excellent, as is the backup camera. Head up display is great! Driver comfort very good for a small-ish vehicle. Some annoying issues: Driver attention alerts occur frequently and randomly without cause. iPhone CarPlay and Bluetooth disconnect spontaneously. Transmission allows car to roll forward or backward about 6-10 inches when parked. Hybrid fuel efficiency unimpressive.

Very good but some notable misses

The car is very comfortable and the technology is a 10/10. The shocking miss for the car is the lack of an option to use adaptable cruise control vs standard cruise control. You look down and you’ve been going 10 mph under your intended speed because the vehicle in front of you is going slow; now your ETA is off because of Hyundai’s shortsighted decision. It’s inexplicable. Some other safety features are far too aggressive; jamming on the brakes for an “imminent collision” that is nowhere near imminent (with no option to customize it far enough), having to fight the steering wheel when it’s absolutely not necessary. There are many things they can improve on with software updates that would alleviate 99% of my complaints. Also, the advertised mpg is not close to what I experience in Ohio which is relatively flat.

2026 Tucson Hybrid Limited

Except for few suggestions, this vehicle is great. Suggestion#1 - Should have Folding Outside Mirrors, especially in higher trims. Suggestion#2 - Center Console lid should be made moveable (like other competitors) in higher trims. This helps in adjusting to rest the driver's elbow. Currently I have a Limited Hybrid and due to my physique, the resting on the lid is little too far and so not helpful/convenient.

Very satisfied with a few irks

Overall, I love the vehicle. It’s roomy, has lots of technology features, and looks nice. A few things that bother me which could be considered minor to others… 1. The outer trim along the front passenger side window was scratched upon purchase and had to be replaced. Four attempts to replace. Each attempt resulted in the new trim piece having a small dent in the same exact spot on each one and the service area reordering the part. After 5 months this is still unresolved. Obviously a bad batch in manufacturing or just overall poor quality control. 2. The leather on the drivers side seat has a tiny tear already that I noticed about 3 months in. Not sure what caused it, but nothing obvious and speaks to the quality of the material used. 3. Despite the high technology, there is not an automatic door lock feature when walking away from the car. You have to touch the sensor on the door handle or use the key or app to lock. 4. The app has glitches. Setting up a second digital key took weeks of attempts. Valet alerts continued to be generated for weeks after deactivating valet mode. 5. The dashboard and app are not in agreement for maintenance due. Dashboard says service due in 900 miles, but app says all is good and no maintenance due for a few thousand miles.
