I like it so far

The car has been solid. Very comfortable and with cool technology. My only complaint is about the automatic break / collision detection alarms that are too sensitive, even on the lowest settings.

Reformed skeptic

My intention, as I started my journey for a replacement for my much beloved 2012 Venza, was to find and purchase a 2022 Lexus RX350. That was the last year for the 3.5 V6 engine. A hybrid of ANY brand was not on my short (or long) list. I found the RX to not be as useful and dynamic as I’d hoped, so I began to consider all other options of that size XUV. Having a friend with a Sportage, I started there. I found it to be more of a utility vehicle and not styled to my tastes. I then checked out the similar-sized offerings from Toyota and Honda and felt they were lacking in technology and any upscale options. And finally decided to consider the Tucson Limited. I first test drove the 4 cylinder turbo and honestly was impressed with its performance. I didn’t like the color of the available vehicles so our sales person asked if I’d consider a hybrid… or at least drive one. That was the beginning of a love affair.

Comfortable but disappointing mileage

Disappointing fuel economy on our 2026 Tucson limited HEV. On our trip back from Texas (about 1200 miles) we averaged only 25 mpg and on the last leg made only 20 mpg . Interstate speed the last leg is 80 and it doesn’t do well at highway speeds that fast. I think my ford Maverick pickup ICE engine will do as well. Our 2021 Sonata with the same engine as the Tucson made better highway mileage

So far it's a wonderful vehicle - my second Hyundai since retirement. The first made it almost 300k and was still in such good shape, gifted it to our child. Now we both travel coast to coast without any reservations.

Check engine light

Twice the car has randomly lost power while driving under cruise control on a 2 hr journey. Check engine light comes on. Powertrain issue. Then check engine light goes off so the repair shop won't look into it under warranty. Is has 2500 miles on it. Brand-freaking-new car

Comfortable

The overall drive of the vehicle is good. No major concerns. It is a comfortable ride. The initial MPG in the first 2-3k miles was much lower than the advertised amount. This is slowly changing.
