A sufficient package.

I went into this knowing exactly what I needed and resisting the temptation to overreach. The higher trims were appealing, but I stayed disciplined and chose the base package. In practice, it’s proven more than sufficient. The ride is smooth and composed, the climate control is responsive and well-balanced, and both the infotainment system and digital gauge cluster provide everything I need without feeling stripped down. Nothing feels missing in day-to-day use. Most importantly, this vehicle delivers where it matters. My top priority was a comfortable, safe environment for my toddler. Close behind that was a driving experience that balances comfort with just enough engagement for myself. The Tucson meets both of those requirements with confidence. This is my second time with Hyundai, and once again, they’ve delivered exactly what I was looking for. I got practicality, value, and peace of mind without unnecessary excess.

Tom's 2026 Tucson

The one thing I can't understand is why there is absolutely no reference in the Owner's Manual about "Drive Mode". I've looked from the front of the book to the back, and can't find anything on this topic. What's the use of having a "Drive Mode" if the manual doesn't tell me anything about it proper use. You'll have to take a Mulligan on that one!

Decent car for what it is

Nice car with modern features but falls in the aspect of innovation where it isn’t needed or useful. The vehicle has a nice interior, apple carplay, decent mileage and gas tank size. It fails with the auto ignition not performing accurately, the auto steer trying to take control away from you, the driver, while driving, the acceleration feeling sluggish, and the engine sounding like it’s taking maximum effort just to accelerate from 0 to 20.

I do not like the Lane Detection coming on when I turn on cruise control. I don't like the engine turning off when I stop at a stop light. But, I have found out that VW's do the same thing. I have found work arounds for these problems. My biggest problem now is the service department. The day after I took the car home, I hit a curb hard and had to get a new rim and tire. There was no mention from the service department about any other problems. I had Christian Brothers check the front end as I was preparing to make a short trip and noticed the steering didn't seem quite right. Christian Bros. had to replace a couple of front end parts then do an alignment. Why didn't the Hyandai service department aleast offer to check that. Next I noticed the cabin fan coming on by it self. I call Norman Hyandai service to ask about this and the young lady made an appointment for me for the next day (Friday) at 9:15 am. I checked the car in Friday morning and was later approached by a young lady to sign her Ipad for permission of a possible $190 diagnostic fee. The later the young lady approached me to tell they would not be able to get to my car Friday and it would be Monday. She offered to take me home or give me a loaner. I said I would just take the car and come back Monday and she said she could not guarantee that they could get to it Monday. So, I just took the car home, got on my phone and googled my problem. It seems that the fan coming on is normal to get rid of any moisture in the vents. Looks like Google knows more about my car than the service Dept. I found out from Carvana that my car has depreciated $10,000 in a little over 2 months and 2000 miles. wow. Hyandai saw me coming.
