Breaking system locked up feeling less comfortable

I really like many things about my 2026 Hyundai Tucson. It's comfortable, has a nice interior, and has been enjoyable to drive overall. Unfortunately, I was involved in a rear-end accident after another vehicle cut me off. My Tucson's safety system appeared to brake very aggressively and the vehicle seemed to freeze, leaving me unable to react the way I expected. The driver behind me then hit my vehicle, resulting in quite a bit of damage. I appreciate that Hyundai includes advanced safety features, but they need to be better balanced so they don't create hazardous situations. If this behavior is related to a known recall or software issue, I hope Hyundai addresses it quickly. Overall, I still think the Tucson is a good vehicle, but this experience has made me less confident in how the automatic braking system performs in real-world traffic. That's why I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars I am not exactly sure how to rate it, everything is great except then it seemed to Lock up. It’s in the shop getting repaired I don’t think i will ever use the safety feature again.

Very nice vehicle for affordability and comfort. Not crazy about the Center console. I asked the salesman how to make it brighter and he told me to use the little lever on the driver side by the door, but of course that did not make it much brighter at all. When all three programs are up such as radio, GPS and temperature the panel stays completely dark, which makes it very difficult to see the GPS or the weather.. if one panel is on the program only it does get white and you’re able to see it, but I would like it to be like my Kia was where the panel in the center is always bright and you could see it.

This is my second tuscon. I wish I had my old car back. There's a few things I dont like about the car. Cruise control I do not like. I feel as though the car is all over the road. Don't really care how vents are in front of car.
