I trust them.
We've been taking our two Smart Cars to Master Auto Tech for service for nine years.
Bob and his crew at Master Auto Tech are fair, honest and cost is reasonable.

Exceptional ability paired with horrid customer service
My one star review is based primarily on the compassionless and damnable character shown by who I assume was the owner, Bob. He displayed wanton disregard for customer service and for the safety of my vehicle as I drove it off his lot.

He and his team attended to diagnostics on my vehicle in a timely fashion and delivered a comprehensive report, which was appreciated. Nate, who runs the front desk, is knowledgeable and polite. This shop advertises and attempts to sell a top quality service that comes with a high price tag. All of this is fine and reasonable.

I came into issues with Master Auto Tech when I asked them to remove a rusted off tailpipe (that was hanging by only a hook and two bolts) out from under my 2000 Tacoma. I was not looking for a handout, and I happily paid the $130 diagnostic fee (no service rendered other than identifying the problems). I thought perhaps as a courtesy, and in the interest of good customer service, he might be willing to spare two minutes to grab an adjustable wrench and unscrew the two bolts holding my faulty tailpipe in place. He indignantly refused, and stated that his employees were making him money and he would not spare them, or himself, to do work for free.

Bob comes across as arrogant and totally lacking empathy. I would recommend avoiding this shop at all costs. It was made clear by the owner that their sole interest is in making money and not in customer satisfaction, or even simple human decency.

Ron said he took his vehicle in to get his timing belt looked at because his vehicle would not start. When he got to the facility he saw it was clean and very professional and was absolutely fantastic. Once he had brought his vehicle into the facility and had them leave it overnight. The gentleman who had been working on his vehicle had called him to give him and estimate of $165. The cost of that covered whichever compression test they did on the vehicle. When he got his vehicle back the mechanic who had been working on his vehicle failed to do his job and looking at the invoice it had said maybe. When he had took his vehicle in to them to have them look at it he was confident that they would provide him with an accurate cause to the problem. While they had his vehicle they were late on the estimate. The invoice did not provide him with and accurate or concise breakdown of what they did. After the repairs were completed the gentleman who had been working with had told him he needed to get his vehicle out of the lot by mid week.

Good service.
Every problem with my car is handled competently and with a can-do attitude. I receive estimates and timely service. Friendly staff. Last visit, the car was done early so made my day even easier.

Outstanding service
My brake sensor light came on which meant I needed to service the brakes immediately. I called in the morning and they were able to get me in that day. While I'm still not convinced I needed new roters, ( I was told it's standard procedure regardless), I was called regarding the front brakes and my decision to not do them at this point was honored without any hard sell tactics on their part.
Master Auto tech does a great job. Their facility is very clean, they get you in the same day and can provide a loaner car.
