Vehicle Quality Issues

Engine is burning oil and the Technician is trying to identify the cause. There is an open recall on the vehicle and pending fix. Two major issues and my new vehicle has less than 13K miles. I'm disappointed and expected Genesis to be a quality luxury vehicle.

Our GV80

We've had our 2025 GV80 3.5t Prestige for about 5 months. So far we've enjoying traveling in it with no issues. Even though I wish the MPG was better. Smooth ride and very comfortable ride.

Luxury vehicle but not free from problems

Battery had to be replaced within the first few thousand miles. It was dead and something was draining it. Completely dead one morning. Now after a software upgrade the trunk opens even with the key inside the house. It hit a closed garage door and blemished the paint. Gas mileage is poor compared to my Cadillac XT6.

Too technical for mature users

The number of times the car tries to make us take a break or drive for us makes taking the car on a trip impossible. The cruise control makes the car a pain to even consider using.. A big mistake in buying this car.
