2025 GV80

Overall fit and finish is excellent. Ride quality with regard to smoothness and sound is very good. Fuel efficency is as stated on the EPA rating. We have not had it long enough to rate reliabiity below.

The GV80 sets the standard for luxury SUVs. There is so much more value and high end features in the Genesis brand than other SUVs in this class. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned and Genesis service is uniquely personalized. Highly recommended.

GV80 REVIEW

Too many bells and whistles. It is difficult to make changes to settings. If you don't play with settings all the time you have to re-learn how to make changes. Many settings are not very intuitive. Not enough storage, especially in the consul area. My wife put a cushion on the passenger seat for added comfort which shuts off the air bag on the passenger side when she sits on it. To touchy of a sensor. Like how the car handles but I think steering at the wheel is a bit stiff when on long drives.

Software Issues

There are major software issues with my GV80. The Genisis dealer worked on my car for 3 weeks one time and 2 weeks another time. As I am cruising down the highway at 75mph a warning tells me facial recognition is not available. The cruise control is lost slowing the speed to 66mph and applies emergency braking. You have to turn the cruise control off to stop the braking. The problem has not been corrected. I contacted Genisis Corporate and filed a lemon law complaint. After a Monty of nothing happening Genisis informed me that my problem does not qualify for a vehicle replacement.

It has them all that you need in SUV.

This car is a very reliable car. I have not experienced any malfunctioning parts. The dealer service for general maintenance is outstanding, too.

GV80 Summary

Overall a nice car, nice style, enjoy the chrome below doors ride is very smooth. One thing upsetting is that the States that are required to have a front license plate having your placement holder smack in the midsole of that beautiful front grill is a killer. At purchase time when salesman put front plate on it killed me. I might have not bought the car if I knew that prior to purchase that’s how bad I find it. Same with friends and family said same thing. You need to redesign camera and sensor placement to fix this. I’m telling you this is a deal breaker I guarantee it if customers knew in advance. If Lincoln and Infinity can figure it out I’m confident Genesis can.
