Disappointed
I was excited about my new GV80 Prestige when I purchased it. It is a beautiful car with all the bells and whistles. My issues are with Technology and Service. There have been numerous glitches with its Tech, the auto hatch opening feature has now been disabled as it opened in my closed garage twice and worked less than 50% of the time when I approached from the rear. Service had no answer or resolution. Features like station presets, Favorite buttons and digital key have all mysteriously factory reset themselves. Service answer was this could happen during system updates. Genesis Connect has not worked properly for several months after 3 calls to Genesis support and an open case for 6 weeks with no resolution. The car itself wouldn’t start the Saturday night before my 24 hr drive from Florida to NY. Although their roadside service did get me started by jumping the battery when I completed my tentative trek back to NY and brought it in for service it was returned with a full battery charge an explanation that minimal driving over a 6 week period and the lift gate being open for packing much of that day along with battery draw when parked caused the battery to drain? A month later the car would not start and had to be towed for service and they replaced the battery.
Finally, available Genesis service locations are difficult to find so think about that. When you do find one don’t expect perfection, voice mails, digital assistants, shortages of loaners and limited responses could await you. How I long Dow my X5 that had none of these issues.
