Genesis GV80 3.5T - Nearly Perfect First 1,000 Miles

My Genesis GV80 made a great first impression. Smooth, quite ride. Quality interior. Fun to drive, especially the forward lane assist which makes driving super easy and relaxing. Enough ponies to getty up and go when needed. Just a few minor things like finger print laden material on the center console, poorly designed drink holders in the doors, and confusing programming of the electronic key kept me from giving it a 5 star rating. 4.75 would my rating.

Overall it is a very nice car

The 3rd row seats need to come out completely and back needs leg room very tight and sits are very tight and rough needs to be much softer for comfort and softer sitting

Should have been 5 stars but....

I purchased the vehicle brand new. I went with the advanced trim. Vehicle is beautiful and classy. The day I purchased it was busy at the dealership. Didn't have time to go over all the bells and whistles. So I tried to activate connected services from home. When that didn't work, I called the dealership. And they had me call genesis. I spoke with genesis about the modem, and they try to activate it over the air. My service would not activate despite many attempts. Was told it needed a new modem and would take 425 weeks for that part to come in. At this point, my car only had a couple hundred miles on it. I was really disappointed as this was the first time I ever purchased a brand new vehicle. Felt as though that should never happen when you're buying brand new. They gave me a courtesy car while they worked on my car. Still was tricky to get connected after new modem was installed. But kyle, the salesman, it helped me get everything reset and operating. I love this vehicle but felt really disappointed that I had to go for a while without my brand new car. You don't expect this to happen with something new. Genesis made it right and I am pleased for that.
