Very Good EV Vehicle and experience

The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a stylish and comfortable EV vehicle. Its quick and agile and proves to be a capable daily cruiser. Love the fast charging aspects and the use of storage. The seats are also comfortable and the cabin is very quiet at highway speed. Though the 2025 now has a back wiper, this should have been standard at launch since the back window gets dirty! In addition, Hyundai needs to work on the software integration, it is basic for an EV and very much behind Tesla as an example. There should be more stats provided as an EV and native mapping when choosing destinations including charging stops along the way. Also for the AWD version, there should be 300 miles of range at 80% which is the sweet spot to avoid range anxiety. I have high hopes for future enhancements to this vehicle and hopes Hyundai continues to make thoughtful improvements.

I'm fascinated by my Ioniq 5

Overall look futuristic. Full charge gives me 250 to 320 miles. Inside is comfortable and spacious. The trunk is big enough. I love it.

Love the car. Hate the 12 volt battery.

Rating would be 5 stars if the 12 volt battery hasn’t died 4 times in as many months. I have to put a trickle charge battery on it every time I’m going to leave it for more than 24 hours. And no one has any answers.

Great Car

This is my first electric car and it has been amazing. While long trips (over 300 miles) require a little more planning, daily driving is awesome. This car has plenty of power, even in Eco driving mode. The interior is quite nice, I have had several people (including folks working at drive through windows) comment favorably on the interior design. It's got enough room for cargo plus a back seat with better than average leg room. I am leasing the vehicle because it's likely beyond my monthly budget to purchase, which is unfortunate as I have zero complaints about this car and would love to keep it beyond the end of my lease.

I love my Ioniq5 but it has problems

Trim problems with the rear spoiler - upper right hand side of spoiler where it meets the lamp detached 3 days after taking delivery of the car. Spoiler has been replaced but is still detached [and being held in place with black duct tape]. ICCU problems - 2 software recalls and at 13 months of age the ICCU AND high voltage fuse failed making the car undrivable and needing to be towed in to the closest Hyundai dealership [good Hyundai roadside service]. It took a week to get the parts in and fix the car Random turning on of temperature controls. Use the buttons on the steering wheel to control channel and volume and don’t touch anything near the climate controls panel on the dash

Good quality, sort of fun, boring on the inside.

The quality of the car inside and out, is fantastic; excellent suspension system. The handling is a bit sketchy, but that is how it is with many EVs. The color scheme is beautiful inside and out, however, the interior is bland and boring, the Ioniq 6 has a better interior design. Matte paint scratches very easily, doubt I would purchase another car with matte paint again. Sound system is fair, could use an equalizer or something else, it is supposed to be a Bose system, but it is lacking. Need to add a rear wiper, the window is that of an SUV, therefore it should have a wiper. On a very sunny day, the heads up display glares on the window, I have to put a towel in it :( Need wireless Bluetooth for Android Auto, etc.

It is below average on performance and dealership service!!!

This is my second year driving this Ioniq. But right after a year later, it is running weird. Some noisy sounds going on, audio and navigation is not working properly on hot weather, after the regular service alignment is not good….

Wonderful car, quiet, powerful, the SUV is ideal for hauling elderly parents, lawn equipment and accessories. Car is not perfect, but certainly the closest car to it I've ever owned.

Ideal commuter/about town car and work vehicle.

I use as a work car as an aircraft mechanic. It's been a wonderful, comfortable car that I keep loaded with tools. I work right out of the back. My daily commute is 50 miles. My energy cost is 1/3 of what I was using with my previous vehicle -an ICE pickup truck and I don't have to go to the service station for fuel.

Extremely pleased with handling, ease of use, battery duration.

Handles beautifully. Only thing I would change is add a rear window wiper (which they did for 2025 models) Comfortable, quiet, smooth operation. A lot of fun to drive.

This is the best car I've ever owned.

It's fun to drive, smooth, quiet, had good controls and displays (mostly). One big issue - reliability and repair speed for ICCU failures. I haven't had one but many owners report failure and weeks to months to get repair. This is a 4 hour job to swap a part. Hyundai needs to get this under control or I won't buy another Hyundai or Kia.

This has been the worst car decision I've made. The car has had constant electrical problems. I wish I still had my Chevy Bolt.
