Great electric car

Love the battery range and the charging speed. Drives great, quiet and smooth, but wish the single-pedal driving was smoother and the can come to a full stop without depressing the brakes. Wireless Apple CarPlay is lacking which is unfortunate and I wish there are over-the-air updates that are more like Tesla's.

Finish and media issues

Overall love the drive of the vehicle and its features. However, the haptic buttons on the console are a pain and not intuitive. Also, the area above the back lights collections dust and water when it rains so it's annoying to clean. The display in front of the steering wheel is cut off by the steering wheel which is so annoying. Love the feel of the steering wheel and the blinker stick and that's why I bought the vehicle.

Great car let down by the software

Love the looks, the ride, performance, charging speed and economy. The software is very slow and often times buggy. Simple things like manual preconditioning or running two navigation softwares are impossible to do. The app is quite bad - on more than one occasion it has stopped being able to contact the vehicle and i have had to do a full system reset in the car to reconnect it. Commands often don't come back or time out and there are many features missing that you see in Tesla and other software first competitors. Fix the software and you'll run away with the market.

2024 Ioniq 5 SE

My wife and I leased a 2024 Ioniq 5 SE in March of 2024. We downsized from two cars to one, and we had decided to go with an EV (we had solar panels installed in June of 2023, and we had the panels configured to be able to support an EV). For the most part we've been pleased with the car with a few exceptions. First, it turns out that the car is a little too big for what we need. A Kona EV would have been better. In addition, the SE model is too stripped down for our liking.

Should Have Done this Sooner!

I have had the Ioniq 5 for almost three months now. I had not planned to trade in my BMW but once I drove it...I love this car. Do not miss the BMW AT ALL. Fun to drive. Great acceleration and handling. Very stable. Very comfortable. All features are intuitive and very easy to master.

The perfect car for me and my life style.. A few minor things I would change. Felt cheated as the 2024 had less standard options than the 2023, no one told me, and I was too stupid to look. All and all I would buy it again.

Almost Great

Software really lets this car down. The app is too often unusable and lacks simple features like remote heated seats or internal temperature. Notifications from the app are usually useless. The car’s internal software is wholly inadequate for the greatness of the hardware. Route planning has improved but is still not good enough. Forcing drivers to chargers at over 20-percent battery is just dumb. And, simple additions like allowing the steering wheel star button to be programmed to the Warmer button would be an amazing improvement. And, manual preconditioning is a most. Plus, the car sticker said I could use my phone as a key, but there’s still no iPhone support which is false advertising. Plus, why not auto locking?!

Good but not great

1. User interface isnt well optimized. Radio button is buried in, why have map and navigation button into one. 2. Sub par audio 3. Sub par miles range. It barely goes to 230 miles 4. Customer service is horrible. No one ever responds 5. No heated seats in the back 6. No seat memory

Absolutely comfortable to drive and the best car I’ve ever owned.

This car is something I only dreamed of getting as an EV and it turns out, it fits perfectly into our lives. From long distance driving, to short work commuting, this car can and has continued to be amazing to drive and ride in. So much so, that it’s become our only vehicle, since I work from home. It’s not perfect, with the lack of rear windscreen wiper and wishing for more lumbar support, but overall, it’s a great car.

Some flaws

Back cam useless in wet weather, Needs rear wiper, difficult to use touch screen for heat, AC, etc. No tactile sensation. Mileage range off by 30%. dealer has no explanation. attempetd to swith to another consumer affairs case manager. The manager, Lamont, said no. 4 alignments in 13 months
