Lovely Limited Leased Ioniq5

We love this car! I share it with my husband, and in the limited trim it gives us both what we needed from a new car. The interior feels solid, the electric range is excellent, the charging speed is FAST, and it's a great little car. So far there's been very minimal maintenance, just one recall that the dealer dealt with quickly. It hauls a lot, is comfortable as driver and passenger (heated steering wheel, heated and cooling seats in the front) and the pano moonroof is great to see the sky and let in light (but also it has a smart cover to close if you get too much sun!). Overall we love this car and it'll be interesting to see what car we do next after the 3 year lease is up.

Somewhat bland overall, and that's good

After a year's ownership I've noticed a few problems. Biggest concern is when switching to reverse quickly the drive mode is still in Drive. This is dangerous when you press the pedal and think you're going backward but forward instead. The wiper blades were already in bad shape after a few months and should be replaced as soon as you buy this. Driver side vents are weak, especially the left vent. Finally the climate control is a bit fussy and makes me miss simple "oven knob" controls. Overall the car drives very well and delivers what it promised, a humble no-nonsense transporter that doesn't show off but will leave any sports car in the dust when it wants to.

Outstanding EV Choice!

The vehicle sets a high bar, but the independent dealerships’ experience brings the car’s modernity down. It feels like the old-fashioned countryside used car dealers, with salespeople lying, misinforming, and not standing by their words after closing the sale. I’ve never returned to Rick Case Hyundai, FL and have no plans at all to do so. Hopefully my next Hyundai will be purchased through an online direct sales process. Fortunately, after all the dealership frustration, the car made me appreciate every positive aspect of the purchase.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5

I love to look at my Ioniq 5. I think it is one of the most beautiful cars on the market. The features the limited version has are very useful and good for safety. The heads up display and the a/c in the seat is awesome. However, there is a lot of duplication and the touch line of a/c buttons etc are easy to accidentally actuate. I would give the car a B+. However, the car dealers are inept, unknowledgeable and arrogent. Diego at Manly Hyundai told me about a rattle to "get used to It"

Very Smart

Overall, the Ioniq 5 is the best car I have every owned. It performs very well, is totally smart and handles easily. The exterior shines so to speak as well as the well-appointed interior. Even the EV range is better than advertised as I routinely charge to 350 miles. That's amazing in this price range: hard to beat. If I had to search for negatives, there are two minor ones. The radio reception could be better in remote areas and the turning ratio is somewhat okay-ish. My previous auto had an unusual turning ratio and now I compare everything to that. Probably not fair but the bottom line, I will probably lease another one when my current lease expires. That's saying a lot!

High Tech. Lower Cost Great Value!!!

Vehicle had surprising Tech features for what we paid, not counting E-vehicle rebate and two year Electrify America charging discount. The features included self parking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, adjustable levels of regen braking and other features. Too many to list before I run out of space. I did however have a cracked Panoramic sunroof panel that was not covered by Hyundai bumper to bumper warranty so it was out of MY pocket with insurance. Also back up camera postion allows water drops to form after highway driving in rain obstructing rear camera view. Vehicle should have higher position camera lens or shroud lip to defuse water. Software should allow remote surround camera view when parked like on the 2025 Santa Fe.

Good ride God awful cintrols

Flat rear window no wiper Door handles go flush and freezer Same with charge port Reduculus control panel can’t read ut can’t find anything stupid engineering Will never buy again Also wiper blade not acceptable in snow rain well freeze up prevents access Wtf dip s***s designed this? Should all be fired

It's very early, but so far, nicest car I've ever owned.

Efficient, comfortable, fast, quiet, charges extremely fast on the road, "refuels" at home, hardly any maintenance required. My range is a lot more than the EPA range. Like that there are buttons and switches. Navigation is working well. Worried about the common 12-volt battery failure, but haven't experienced it yet. Appreciate that Hyundai gave a discount equal to the federal credit before the US factory was completed.

Pros: • Spacious interior • Quiet • Much more durable than a Tesla • Fair range Cons: • That one recall • Bluetooth connection sometimes falls apart, though this is rare • "Charging started" every time its plugged in is tiresome. I'd like if there were alternate voices and accents. I'd like an Australian accent saying "Oh yeah, thats the good stuff!"

Seats need to be more comfortable.

The only reason that my review was four stars is due to the seats - they are not very comfortable. Better seats would have gotten our Ioniq 5 five stars!
