Brand new Broken down on the road

Never in my lifetime had I ever broken down on the road with a new car , it took a Whole week going back and forth with Hyundai Road side before the car got to the dealership .Now the car has to wait until a technician could look at it because there’s only one person that can work on it .which is totally unacceptable .

I love it so far, and I got a great lease deal. Just makes sure you do a ton of research before you purchase and EV. There is a learning curve.

Impressive Performance, Small Build Quality Concern

Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with the vehicle. It's fun to drive, looks fantastic, and the EV range is excellent. However, I have noticed some build quality issues. Specifically, the trim piece running down the side of the rear window repeatedly pops off. It's held in only by a clip with no adhesive, which seems like a poor design choice. I find myself periodically pushing it back into place. If I were planning to keep this car long-term, I'd be more concerned, but since I'm leasing, it's more of a minor annoyance than a dealbreaker.

The 2025 Ioniq5 Limited is an outstanding piece of technology.

Beautiful design that receives daily compliments. Smooth ride, quiet and very powerful acceleration. Interior is roomy, with high quality comfort and excellent control layout design. It puts the fun back into driving. Highway driving assist level very good. Would like to see more autonomous driving software.

The car vibrates over 65 mph.

I dropped off my car to the dealership for the 6th time in 4 months because the car still vibrates. I am waiting for my car. They replaced 4 tires at the 5th visit to the dealership. They put exactly the same tires as my original tires which had the sound deadening forms detached from the inner side of 2 out of 4 tires. It still vibrates with new tires. Returned to the dealership and dropped off.

Door handles security risk

Open door handles is a clear indication that it is unlocked and may invite thieves. There shouldn't be any visual indication that doors are unlocked. Pls redesign. The dashboard has no place to put phone. It would be very useful to have some dedicated space to put magnetic the right of odometer section to secure phone without obstructing other controls. Thanks

Daily driver that feels future proof

I definitely did my research before leasing this vehicle so I had an idea of what to expect coming into the car. But now having driven it for over 6k miles it's been all that and then some. I'm happy to know I'll be driving it even longer throughout my lease and have some serious considerations when the lease ends.

2025 Ioniq 5 Limited

This car is a bit funky in exterior styling but it hides a very roomy and comfortable mid-sized SUV under its skin. The ride is very smooth and the power is instantaneous. The thing that gets any first time passenger is how quite the vehicle is even at highway speeds. This vehicle has exceeded all my expectations with only one real major complaint. The default regenerative level is set at Level 3 and can not be set to your preference. Even after using reverse, it defaults back to Level 3. Same with my wife's Ioniq 9. This could easily be fixed with an update to allow user set default. Hopefully that will come very soon. Otherwise it is so much fun to drive and by far my my favorite vehicle I have owned.

Love the drive but has kinks

Love the way the car drives and really appreciate the safety measures. However the electronics are worrisome. My car never locks automatically when I walk away. My husband has downloaded the Hyundai virtual key and anytime he is within 30 feet of my car it unlocks. Often when he is near the trunk pops open even though he is not standing behind the trunk. Often when I stand behind the trunk it refuses to open as it is supposed to to do. This has created an issue on occasion that we are meeting somewhere and I’ve locked my car and walked away. He parks somewhere close but not next to my car and later when we return to our cars, my trunk is wide open!!
