Hyundai Ioniq5: A decent daily vehicle

Vehicle is well designed with a nice interior, spacious trunk, and decent mileage range for an electric car. The app could use some work and materials of the car could be better but overall it’s a solid daily driver and decent bang for your buck. Good car, nice job Hyundai.

Everything done well

Could not be happier with the vehicle. The range is better than expected. The ride is luxiours without being squishy. The acceleration is phenomenal. The tech is great and it works. Overall, we are extremely happy with the vehicle and give it two thumbs up.

Good seating and quiet ride, good smooth acceleration

I found the 2025 Ionia 5 SE RWD is spacious. Very quiet comparing with my Prius 2015. Acceleration is better than my Hybrid Prius. Auto- turn on of air conditioning is good to keep cabin ventilated. Spacious trunk too.

It has its positives and negatives

The power is good. The range is good comfortable except for the odor. I don’t like to drive it because the odor is not good. Supposed to be a new car smell, but I’ve never smelt the car this bad sometimes it smells like dead fish, but on the other hand, it does go away after a while But it’s right back there. The next time you go to drive it.

I Love This Car!

I love the interior. I love the exterior. I appreciate having NACS connectivity. I love all the safety features. The 2x2 200HP isn’t as fast as my previous AWD 300HP Ioniq 5. That’s okay. Also, the stupid horn that blows when I open/close the doors! Stop that! I live in an apartment complex and don’t like to bother neighbors at late hours.

Fun to drive, great quality. Mileage is better than advertised.

My biggest complaints center around the fact that an SEL, priced at or around $50,000, lacks a sunroof, memory seats, active wiper controls. You have to pay $3-6000 for those extras. Its seems silly and unnecessary.

Ioniq 5 is a good choice with software improvements needed.

Good build quality and driving characteristics. Nice interior with great features. Software has a lot of features which are hampered by the need for obvious updates. Information and settings assigned to the driver need to be entered with each drive. This redundancy is irritating. A good review and updating of the vehicle software with the a focus on driver experience is needed.

I waited years for this car and it did not disappoint

I immediately felt at home even as soon as I was test driving the Ioniq 5. First, the performance is awesome. Second, the car seems sized just right - definitely not small but also not huge.
