Terrific In All Respects!

This is my second Hyundai. My first was a 2023 Tucson Plug In Hybrid. I decided to go all-electric when the Tucson lease expired, and I’m glad I did. The IONIQ is an excellent drive — quiet and smooth, with a lot of pep. It handles well and is very comfortable.

I LOVE THIS CAR!

I absolutely love this car! This is my first EV and I couldn’t be more satisfied. It literally is a joy to drive and I find myself taking my dog on more long car rides to nowhere lol! There is not one negative that I have about this car, it runs beautifully. It looks gorgeous charging is a breeze and so far it is a 10 out of 10 for me.

Fun!

Love this car! It’s so much fun to drive. My only issue is that it’s hard to read the control panel where you adjust the temperature, etc. The outside light make creates a glare making it hard to see/read.

Really nice but has room for improvement

Just needs slight quirks fixed like the radio swapping to phone but not automatically back to radio fixed. Not being able to adjust the Ac with cruise control running and not having the car tell you to look at the road. Then the phone charger sucks

I really love it, recommend to my friends

It has a smooth ride and all the controls are very user-friendly. The interior is spacious and the ride height is just right, making road trips super comfortable. I charge it twice a week up to 80% and drive about 400 miles a week. I'm very satisfied with it.

We wanted an electric car, didn't want to pay a fortune. The Ioniq 5 fit the basic requirement. To me a car is a tool, what is most important is it works and it gets you from point A to B.

2026 Ioniq 5 is a solid choice and great to drive

They got all the hard stuff right - charging system, comfortable driving position, well thought out controls. I wish the storage cubbies for sunglasses and the like were anywhere near as good as my old Subaru Forester, though.

So far so good

I was on the fence about this car but I needed an SUV that fit in my garage. I had heard many negative things about the battery and the way that Hyundai had treated Ioniq 5 owners in the past when things went wrong but I haven' experienced any issues first hand. I have only driven it for under 2000 miles but it's been reliable so far. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Great until it wasn’t

I absolutely loved my vehicle for the first three months. But then this weekend, while traveling to vacation with my family, the car stopped talking a charge and threw a check battery light. After having it towed to a dealer, it looks like I am about to be out a car. I loved my car so much that I am in a predicament. I do not know if I can chance this situation again. But the car was perfect. The correct size, amazing tech, great range. I’m so sad.

2 Month Review

I leased the SEL model of the Ioniq 5. It replaced a Tesla Model 3. In comparison the SEL doen't have some convenience features which are standard on the Tesla. I miss the power folding mirrors, because I have a very narrow garage door and I have to get out of the car to fold the passenger mirror before I can pull into the garage. I also miss the "easy access" driver's seat/steering wheel feature. And I find it very frustrating that the "iPedal" setting has to be selected every time you drive. I know some of these features are available on the Limited model, but I wasn't interested in paying for the HUD or the moon roof. I'm sure the iPedal issue could be corrected with an over-the-air update.
