A quality EV. Easy to drive, big enough for carrying the dogs

The Ioniq 5 is a good sized EV. Not too big nor too small. Comfortable for a 6'1" big guy. Range is impressive and longer than what was advertised. I wish the Frunk was bigger and don't understand why it is not on the RWD version.

Great car for first time EV owners

I loved my 2026 Ioniq 5 limited. What i love most of it are: the NACS charging (being able to charge at a Tesla supercharger), how quickly it charges (1-hour for 10% charge at level 2 at home; about 12min. from 50-80% at Tesla Supercharger), how it cools down so fast and dont have to worry about gas, just charging, the infotainment system is amazing as it is easy to use, how I can plug a flash drive with mp3 and listen to my own music list, etc....

Yet another review

This is an excellent car if you know you want an EV and you're willing to roll the dice a little. Tremendous value for dollar but Reddit would have you think the whole fleet is falling apart. Hyundai hasn't released real numbers so it's hard to counter fear with fact. My Ioniq 5 has had two small failures, air bag controller and charging cable (twice!). Both were repaired under warranty which was easy but also a pain. The car is super fun to drive. It has all the bells and whistles and gets great economy. It's a good fit for me but everyone will have to make their own decision of cost, features, and risk.

Drives like a dream. Everything I ever wanted in a car.

Going into my next purchase after a loaded Volvo S60 was a short list of requirements. I wanted something more raised that felt and drove like an SUV. I wanted more interior space. I wanted an EV that would get significantly better MPG equivalent and allow home charging. I also wanted some specific amenities, like cooled seats, wireless apple carplay, enhanced cruise control. The 2026 Ioniq 5 Limited had everything I wanted, and more. Do I worry about a possible ill-timed ICCU failure? Yes, but as time goes on and more and more is learned about the issue my comfort that Hyundai will take care of it promptly in the worst cased scenario grows and grows. It's a quirky looking car, but that's part of the charm. It screams out " I am an EV", and that's exactly what I wanted. I drive the dual motor engine almost completely in Eco mode, using various configurations of regenerative braking based on short or long-term driving (basically <> 10 miles). The highest regenerative braking works best in around town, low-speed situations. On highways I eiher use CC or lower the setting to allow more natural gliding when there isn't much traffic. The adaptive cruise control works amazing on highways, even in bumper-to-bumper traffic (where it basically drives itself within a single lane on designated stretches of road). After almost 3k miles I am completely satisfied with my purchase, with the value, and with this being an easy 7-10 year car for me.

My first EV

Overall a great vehicle with a few minor issues. I wish the mirrors folded when placed in park vice when locked. I also hate that “consider taking a break “ feature cannot be turned off like it can on other Hyundai vehicles. Also, I have gotten range predicted in the gage cluster after charging the battery.

One of the smoothest, quietest, and most efficient electric vehicles o

This is hands-down my favorite car to drive — responsive, fun, efficient, and remarkably quiet. The cabin is so quiet I often drive without music just to think. Acceleration and overall feel are excellent. Range estimates are impressively accurate, with a helpful real-time guide showing how driving conditions affect range — great for trips. Fast charging makes long road trips easy. With over 2,000 miles driven, it’s the best daily driver I’ve ever owned.

Great vehicle over all from my limited ownership time

So far the car has been great. My only complaints are the doors don't seem to auto lock once the key fob moves away. Minor thing, but my older 2015 ford would do this, seems stramge that a new 2026 car does not. This is especially bad since the door handles advertise that the car is unlocked from a distance. Ideally, once the keyfob moves around 10 feet / 3 meters or so it's pretty clear the driver is walking away from the car, lock the doors. Related, if I get out of the car, while it's on, but in park, and walk around to the other side of the car to open the door for some one, even pressing the unlock button on the key fob doesn't pop the handle out. If I forget to hit the button, I have to walk back around the car to unlock the passenger side door via the button on the driver door. Again, my old 2015 ford allowed me to unlock doors via the key fob any time the vehicle was not in a driving gear. The proximity sensor for the unlock would also allow me to just to touch the door handle as long as the key fob was in my pocket to unlock it.

Sadly, missing features

Great car in many ways but the bells and whistles are diminishing. Gone are folding side mirrors, heated steering wheel, digital key and park assist. I am actually shocked by how much was taken away. I obviously needed to check closer but if my 2023 included all those awesome features you would clearly think the 2026 model would too. I do like the charging adaptors that they have added.

I absolutely love this car. This is my second Ioniq 5. My first was a 2023 SE and I wanted to upgrade to Limited so bought the 2026. My son is now loving the 2023.

It's just okay

For the price of the car, it's missing a lot of standard features most cars at this price range should have. Not having powered windows for the passenger side makes a world of a difference. That, and the turning radius is awful. I have parking anxiety trying to maneuver in parking lots with this new hurdle. I wish I could return my car early and get a new one. I doubt I can stay with this one for the full 3 years.
