Nice exterior, that's all.

The worst decision I've ever made was switching to this car. It looks cheap, the interior is awful—especially the center console—and unplugging the charger when it's done charging is always a hassle because it won't disconnect. The car's exterior design is nice, but everything else is mediocre. The radio and apps like Pandora stop working occasionally, and the screen says they're unavailable at that moment. The worst part is that the battery drains very quickly.

Off road/ not

I purchased this car after my EV six( had it over 4 years) was destroyed by a deer collision. Unfortunately, the limited supply of Kia and Hyundai electrics limited my choice. I found only this car available when I need one) I only have one car.) I ended up within XRT instead of a limited Ioniq five. It’s a wonderful car however it felt too dark on the interior and I was concerned about the range. Nevertheless, when I charge it fully, it reached 337 miles and it has performed very well. It even might have a smoother ride on our bumpy neighborhood roads then would’ve been the limited version. I also look forward to the winter in snow country due to the all weather tires.

Great car with a few potential areas for improvement

The Ioniq 5 is a really good all-around EV. It’s comfortable, quiet, spacious, and genuinely fun to drive, with excellent handling and very fast DC charging. The design also gives it a lot more personality than most EVs and, at the right price, it feels like a lot of car for the money. The biggest drawbacks are the somewhat limited range and some overly intrusive driver-monitoring features. Still, the combination of comfort, practicality, driving enjoyment, charging speed, and value makes the Ioniq 5 a very appealing package.

Not as good as 2023

Disappointed that features were taken away from my previous 2023 Ionic5 SEL, such as automatic retractable mirrors and V2L capability. The idea I now have to choose Favorites on the radio every time I start the vehicle was almost a deal-breaker.

Great fast charging, lots of room, and fun to drive!

This is my second Ioniq 5, and I love the car! When I need to travel a long distance I can charge to 80-85% in under 20 minutes and be back on the road. It has plenty of muscle and lots of cool features on the Limited version, including the HUD, the panorama roof, and accent lights on the door panels. I love the Bluelink app that alerts me when I left my doors or windows open. Overall, in over 50 years of driving, this is the best car I've ever owned.

Overall vehicle is nice. But, few times i could not move the vehicle to Drive to Reverse snd had to power off the vehicle multiple times before vehicle could move. This happened at most inappropriatte moment, when i was in aa hurry. During day time driving, the map being displayed for directions, would turn dark and couple of minutes later come back to normal brightness. This has happened at least 4 times in the last couple of months. Do i need to take the vehicle to the dealer for courtesy check up & fixing.

Hyundai does not care.

I bought the car. two weeks later it was towed. 3 weeks later, it was confirmed the battery need replacing. Same codes came up when it was towed away. Now, 6 weeks later, there is still no battery. No word from Hyundai throughout the process. Dealership was useless.

I chose the Ioniq 5 over the Tesla model Y

Having driven a Tesla model 3 for several years, I became accustomed to the convenience and nearly no maintenance of an electric vehicle. I had ordered a Tesla model Y to replace my model three and was several days from delivery. I decided to take a look at the Ioniq 5 and the moment I closed the cabin door during my test drive is when I was sold. The quality and comfort of the Hyundai exceeded that of the Tesla model three. I’ve had the car for five weeks now and it provides a very comfortable ride. Hyundai doesn’t need to follow the lead of Tesla on a number of items including elimination of a big bulky key fob whereas Tesla integrates your telephone directly into the car eliminating the need for the key fob. Hyundai also needs to stop modifying the drivers preferred and selected choices related to regeneration and braking. The car continuously resets itself even though the driver has selected specific driving preferences and does not remember those preferences once the vehicle has been turned off. A major design flaw. Tesla vehicles do not reset themselves after they are turned off and this one should not either. The Ioniq 5 wins on comfort and the 800 V charging capability,but hands down, Tesla beats the pants off of them on the technology.
