Awesome Ride!

I love my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. The safety features was one of selling points in making the decision to purchase this vehicle. The vehicle is comfortable to drive, has great handling and I love the gas mileage. I highly recommend this vehicle - it is even better than I expected.

Expected better gas mileage for a hybrid

The first month or two, the mileage, especially in town was good with an average of 34 mpg. Unfortunately, over the past two years or so, I am lucky to see 23 mpg in town, same type of traveling over past few years.

We had always purchased vehicles from US manufacturers but when looking for a new hybrid SUV, the Hyundai Santa Fe was by far the best in our price range. We are very pleased with its performance, comfort level, space and fuel efficiency. Totally wowed by all the safety features - our previous SUV had only a backup camera.

My Hyundai Premium Santa Fe SEL Hybrid

I'm very happy overall with my Santa Fe. I enjoy driving it. However I have noticed some things I was not expecting. The gas mileage is notably lower in cold weather (i.e. 10+ mpg lower). Perhaps that's normal, but I was surprised. I like all the features, particularly the several cameras. One thing that I'm disappointed in is the display on the screen. When I first got the car, I had the split screen set up so the Navigation information was on the larger (left) side, and the radio/media information was on the smaller/right side. However, for some reason, that just changed about 9-10 months. I talked to the dealer, and even called Hyundai, and was told it was a software glitch they were working on. I tried different settings, but can't get it set up that way. I can only get different views of the navigation system on both sides. It's not a huge deal, but I'd rather have the navigation on the larger side of the screen, and my radio/media information on the smaller side. The only other thing I've noticed is the remote start is a bit "touchy". Most of the time it works great, but every so often, it says there is a remote start request already pending....which isn't the case. I wait about 30-45 seconds and try again, and it works fine. Just a minor thing.

First time Hyundai owner

I purchased this vehicle mainly due to Consumer Reports high recommendation in the category of like vehicles. Also there was an extreme shortage of Hybrid SUVs and Hyundai had inventory but limited. Toyota and Honda had waiting lists. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase initially. It was a year later that the transmission needed replaced as well as the horns. The dealership had my car for over a month and I had to rent a car for which Hyundai only reimbursed me for a portion of my bill. Plus my dealership was extremely difficult to get answers from and put all the delays and onus on Hyundai. I

2023 Hyundai Hybrid

This is my second Santa Fe and I am loving my 2023 Hybrid even more than my 2020 gas Santa Fe. My only complaint is the horn that goes off when you are backing up the car that is loud and annoying. I wish I could have it disconnected. I also don't like that there is no spare tire.

It's a great car with a lot of bells and whistles!

I love the car. It's heavy and solid on the road. Works well in snow. I did have some initial issues with the motor in the automatic (drivers) seat. I am now having some issues with the 12 volt battery. When I brought the car back to the dealership to have the seat fixed they marked it as "maintenance." Which then meant I lost out on my free maintenance services. I tried contacting the corporate office (literally over 12 months) and still no resolution. Fortunately, the dealership changed hands and the new dealership knows the issue and has been great.

Almost great

The lumbar support is nice in the driver’s seat, but why leave it out of the front passenger seat? Big problem with cruise control. Driving on hwy cruising along and, out of nowhere, not only does the cruise cut off, (because of a radar issue?), but it feels like I hit the breaks and something rapidly slows the vehicle down out of the blue. It’s incredibly disturbing for the driver and disruptive to surrounding traffic who are driving behind me and I quickly decelerate out of the blue. It’s VERY UNNERVING! Also, the lane assist doesn’t read the actual road properly and decides to nudge me back to where IT thinks the lane is, not where the lane currently is. Also, the backup alert being is too loud and most annoying and the dealer won’t disable it. Honestly, if I had known about it before I bought it, I wouldn’t have bought the vehicle.
