It took 3 days to figurer out what is wrong with the car, but durning that 3 days no one would call and give us an update. Now we are waiting 5-7 weeks for a part that they hope will fix the dead battery.

My 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid Caligraphy

Very pleased with the overall operation performance of the car. Having problems with the windshield wiper controls. The road noise is considerable. The wind noise from the windows & doors does not have a good rubber sealing.

Santa Fe Hybrid 2024

I do not usually buy a brand new car but I did my research for several months. My choice was excellent. It is a great car. The information Panel was a selling point along with the Hybrid option. All safety features is what I needed. I will drive this car for a long time.

We have had 4 Santa Fe cars since 2017. 2017 was for my wife, we liked it so much I bought a 2018. Traded both in for 2024 and 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid models.

my review

fairly quiet, good ride, comfortable. safety suite excellent. hvac system poor freeze in the winter, hot in the summer. ridiculous that each time i start the vehicle i have to reset my specific settings everything due to vehicle reverting to default settings. navigation is a joke, difficult to use. i get nowhere near advertised mpg. driving is 50/50 city highway. if i get 30 mpg in the summer and 28 mpg during the winter, i'm doing good. too many "consider taking a break warnings" I don't need my car to be a babysitter.

Excellent experience with the vehicle so far after almost 2 years of ownership. It has been very reliable so far without any issue. Very good experience with the regular complimentary maintenance service that I have had so far. Overall excellent value for the money.

Love my Santa Fe Hybrid

Really love this suv, but could use some improvements. The air conditioner needs to blow a lot harder. Living in Arizona, it takes forever to cool down inside. I wish that the vehicle was higher off the ground. I have the Calligraphy trim and wish with the HD rear view mirror and all the cameras on the vehicle, that it would be able to record front and rear like a dash camera and also record anytime anyone gets near the vehicle or tries to break in the vehicle. I also wish that with this trim that the rear seats were able to lay flat and go back up by electric push button. I wish that the factory tires were better. I had to replace all 4 tires at 24,000 miles for $1500 and those were the cheapest ones at the dealer.

Loving my ride

When I think about why I purchased my Santa Fe I can honestly say the #1 reason was MPG. A 38 MPG was a HUGE selling point.Next was the UX that the car came with. I tried all the levels and came to find the Hybrid Limited to be the best package for me.

Driving me nuts

While I love the smooth ride of the car and the wrap-around console, the little issues that got through QA are driving me to the point of abandoning the car early. There has been a CONSTANT rattling/knocking sound inside the passenger seatbelt well since I got the car and the dealership can never find it (even though I cannot live without the sound CONSTANTLY). Additionally, the driver side area where the airbag is installed to the left of the windshield has NEVER been in place and I've brought this up multiple times without resolve. I don't know who has given Hyundai good marks for quality because I have yet to see it.

For the price, you can't find a better 3 row hybrid!

I've had no major complaints about this vehicle since owning it expect for the pockets of wind noise in the front row (drive and front side passenger doors) since day 1. Everything else is exceptional.

Checked the boxes for me

I had a list going into the car shopping experience in summer of 2024: Good gas mileage Optional third row Captains chairs second row Car play Room for two teen boys and a spouse all over 6’ tall The Santa Fe Hybrid is the one I kept going back to after three months of looking and test driving. I have had it now for 20 months and am 90% satisfied with my purchase. The safety features that seem like a great idea are what keep giving me problems. I even had to schedule a service to have a software patch to work around the biggest annoyance, which is the camera that looks at the driver’s face. I’ll explain my irritation. I like to drive with my right hand at “noon”. But when the car can’t see your face it dings and has a fit. Buying the car in summer I also had the sunroof open frequently and sunglasses on. With the sun on your face and sunglasses covering your eyes, the car freaks out and won’t let you use cruise control because it can’t see the driver’s face. The only way to fix this is to remove your sunglasses or close the sunroof. I found a place in the settings to turn this feature off and I activated it, but it doesn’t actually turn it off, so I took it in and had the tech guy drive with me so I could show him in action what I was talking about. The car has been worked on but still is much too sensitive and I can’t use the sunroof much without losing the cruise control function. I also noticed between me and my tall spouse and children, the camera sometimes thinks it can’t see their faces (which are much higher up than mine when driving), and it shuts off cruise control on them frequently - not even adding the sunroof to the problem. We take long road trips frequently and these functions have made me want to trade the car in on multiple occasions, but I’m trying to hang in until my freshman son is finished with high school. It’s comfortable, roomy, the CarPlay is great, and I can go over 500 miles before I need a fill up so it is serving the purpose I chose it for. But until the driver’s camera is toned down or eliminated, I can’t say that I will be buying another one after this.
