First Hyundai, first hybrid, rather pleased

Needed a semi-emergency replacement vehicle and wanted to see what the local dealership that services our family vehicles had. This is our first Hyundai. I was looking for a hybrid AWD with enough room for 5 adults comfortably and my husband who is 6'4" to drive. Became spoiled with heated seats and steering wheel, prefer leather, really wanted a sunroof, and needed good ground clearance. The Santa Fe hybrid fit the bill and it feels so much more luxurious than expected!

Great - But With Issues

I love my car overall. However, a couple of buyer beware issues: 1. My remote drive forward/backward feature on the key fob doesn’t work. Hasn’t since day one. I can take it in and have it fixed but haven’t had time to do that and be without my care for an unknown amount of time. 2. If you use the digital key feature, or leave your purse with your key in the care (I park in the garage), it will kill your battery. Your brand new car will be DRT (dead right there) with no understanding of what happened. You won’t get any warning, you can run your diagnostic on your app and it’ll say everything is just fine. If you remove your digital key, and take your key fob out of your car, it’ll be just fine after that. 3. The cell phone charger overheats after a short amount of time and your phone won’t charge. My husband’s GMC has a similar charger and it doesn’t have this issue.

Very nice car

I really like it. But it is actually a real problem for me that SiriusXM radio software does not allow alerts for songs or artists. Most systems include this, and is typically standard.

2026 Santa Fe hybrid

We are enjoying our new 2026 Santa Fe Sel hybrid so far. We are disappointed with a couple things though. We traded in a 2020 Santa Fe Sel for this one and the 2020 had more features than the 2026 yet they were the same trim. Our 2020 had Home Link which the 2026 model does not which really surprised me beings that they are the same trim Sel. Our 2020 had electric passenger seat controls which the 2026 Sel does not have. Both of these features missing on the 2026 which the 2020 Santa Fe Sel had are a huge disappointment to not have. Your company needs to be more honest with your miles per gallon that are advertised on your 2026 Santa Fe hybrid. We have made a road trip from California to Oregon and the best mpg we had so far was 33 miles per gallon which is not at all near the advertised 41 mpg on the sticker. City driving figures are even further away from the 44 mpg that was on the sticker of our 2026 Santa Fe Hybrid. So our biggest disappointment thus far is the lack of features in our new Santa Fe Sel that our 2020 Santa Fe Sel had.

I would give this car 5 stars but the ground clearance isn't enough.

See above. Quite, safe, Calligraphy features are excellent but why couldn't Hyundai spring for the Santa Fe camera with recording capabilities front and back. At least the Calligraphy model

Smooth, Roomy and Great Gas Mileage

I love this vehicle, it's very comfortable and while I was originally looking for a hybrid truck under 40k, I decided to go with an SUV and I'm glad I did. It probably even gives me more room (besides a height limit) than a smaller/hybrid truck would have, and the gas mileage is amazing. I've driven from Lincoln, NE to Austin, TX and used maybe 1.5 tanks of gas at between 33-37 mpg. It has surprisingly good pickup and turning radius for a larger vehicle. I do enjoy the safety features which keep me in the lanes if I drift too far one way or another. The only negatives I can say (and they're minor) are the alerts for "take a break" beeping if I hit the lines too often on a longer drive which becomes more and more often unless I stop, I've tried to figure out how to turn that off but haven't figured it out yet. Also the mostly buttonless stereo has taken some getting used to and have realized it's distracted me and taken my eyes off the road a little more than previous vehicles since there's no physical buttons. It's ultimately fine but I just need to get used to it. The windshield also cracked at some point without me even seeing something hitting it (although I'm sure it did) but that was on my first road trip to Texas and randomly noticed it cracked in the middle which I had to get repaired (but couldn't get the crack removed as it had gone through multiple levels of glass), so a nice reminder as I don't want to pay a few thousand to get the windshield replaced for a cosmetic touchup. Overall it's been a great vehicle and it's made my long drives much more bearable then previous vehilcles. 5 out of 5 and probably 9.5 out of 10 if I had the option for 10. Thank you.

Don’t do it!

Recently purchase a new Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy. Less than 400 miles later it’s in the shop. It’s now been in the shop 3 weeks. Second time with similar problem. No resolution.

Happy with my New Sante Fe

Replaced my top end decked out 1998 Toyota 4Runner and I hope to have the experience with the Sante Fe as I did with the icon Toyota! Time will tell as to how it holds up. No buyers remorse at this stage, very pleased with both the purchase process and the vehicle.
