Don’t do it!

Recently purchase a new Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy. Less than 400 miles later it’s in the shop. It’s now been in the shop 3 weeks. Second time with similar problem. No resolution.

Happy with my New Sante Fe

Replaced my top end decked out 1998 Toyota 4Runner and I hope to have the experience with the Sante Fe as I did with the icon Toyota! Time will tell as to how it holds up. No buyers remorse at this stage, very pleased with both the purchase process and the vehicle.

Better than Honda

Electronics are difficult to maneuver around, and sinking second operator phone has been impossible. Stated milage per gallon on the hybrid has been overstated. Cannot get past the 28.5 MPG versus the 34+ MPG advertised and presented in sales pitch

Things you will never change

I like the car. But some of the switch olagy is backwards. And or upside down. Things you would think should be easy that are not. Whispers front and back. Why would you make it easier to use the back wiper before the 1 that counts the front. I have more but why. You don't listen.

Excellent value! Love it!

This is my second Hyundai, and the Qlquality of Hyundai vehicles are sane or even better than its Japanese competitors. Overall a really great value. I've had Toyotas, Chrysler, Jeep, and had and have a very high end luxury cars to compare to.

Gas mileage is not as advertised

Pretty car but for the money if Im not going to get the hybrid gas mileage advertised its not worth it. If they lie about that in my opinion I have no faith in the brand.

Technological Issues, but Otherwise Fine

In general, I like my vehicle. It is comfortable, gets great gas mileage for the size, and drives well, however, there are a number of technological quirks that irritate me and make me want to get rid of my vehicle. Engine sometimes sounds like it is struggling to change gears when driving up a hill, even when vehicle is unloaded. Some examples: The sensor that determines whether you are looking at the road frequently malfunctions, even with the feature turned off. The vehicle tells me I need to take control of the vehicle when I am actively using a turn signal and changing lanes. I have had an issue with the sound system where none of the speakers worked (only happened once so far, though they did have a robotic quality on one other instance). The fans and air frequently turn on, when I am not in the vehicle nor have I requested climate control to be turned on. Several times the vehicle has not completely started when I have turned the vehicle on. I then have to turn the vehicle off and turn it back on to be able to drive.

Good value for what you get

We traded our Ford Maverick Hybrid in for a new Santa Fe Hybrid and are quite pleased. Same MPG in the city and bit better with the Santa Fe on the highway. The ride is excellent and it is easy to drive. The interior is mostly laid out well. The under console is hard to reach if you're driving and you can't see what is down there is you're in the passenger seat. The backup camera stays on a bit too long once you shift from reverse into drive, which is annoying, but hardly more than that. Storage in the back is excellent. The Santa Fe is 10 inches shorter than the Maverick and we have as much storage (and all covered!) in the Santa Fe.
