A review of my Hyundai Sonata

I bought my Hyundai Sonata based on my two children in November 2010. Since then, I have been using my car on a daily basis to take my wife to her agency, to go shopping, and to go visit my relatives as well as my friends in different location. Some of them live near us in Northern California, a few miles where we live. Some of them live as far as 500 miles in Southern California.. I had always driven and there weren't any problems. For maintenance and services, I have always made appointments with Nicholas Parks Hyundai KIA in San Leandro. Unfortunately, I did have some bad experience with their staffs and I once went to another services provider in Fremont. Then, I came back to Nichols Parks and got very good services.

Great car and service

We really like our Sonata and have been very impressed with our dealer and the manufacturer when recalls have been made. Lots of great features and guide. Our Sonata is so quite that I have to remind my husband to turn off our car when we are getting out at times. Our next car will be another Sonata

Great car for the price

I have had my car for 7 years and wouldnt trade it in for anything else. Has been very reliable. I have had one mishap with it, where my engine seized out of nowhere driving home from Chicago. After getting it back to my dealership, the determined my engine seized due to the recall for the 2011 Sonatas. Hyundai covered the full cost of my engine replacement. Cant complain about those results.

Classy but has hiccups

Runs well, not to happy about the recalls especially on the engine. Sometimes stalls and have always been regular on oil changes every 3,000 miles. The steering column is starting to make clicking noises and it's under recall to replace a 10cent part and the owner of the vehicle has to pay for the work which could cost up to $250.

I love my Sonata!

I bought an '08 Sonata in '12 and liked it so much that I traded it in '14 for an '11! It rides smooth, gets good fuel mileage and looks good! I've been recommending the Hyundai Sonata to friends and will continue to do so!

Excellent reliable

Purchased a 2011 Sonata in July of 2010. Have not had any issues and the vehicle still looks brand new. Gets good gas muleage? I have recommended the Sonata to family and friends and I know at least five of them that purchased them. My Son is in his second Sonata (2018). The 2013 he had previously he gave to his son when he started driving. Three generations driving a Sonata.

Best car I have ever owned.

I have had numerous new vehicles in my life and I have never enjoyed one as much as I have my Sonata nor owned one this long. I would highly recommend anyone buying one. When I buy again I will most like by me another.

Sonata

We love our Sonata. It's great on gas and has excellent styling. We have the sport model with the 18" mag wheels and chrome package. It was considerably lest expensive that the other models and makes we reconsidered. I would highly rerecommend purchasing the extended warranty, it gives you the added confidence that protects your purchase.

Love our Sonata.

With over 60,000 miles on our Sonata, I can honestly say it is a joy to drive and we have had no major problems with it. It still looks and drives just as well as when we bought it and fuel economy has been excellent.

Easy on gas and maintenance

Sonatas might have been my best car yet! Gas mileage and maintenance are great. It’s an easy yes for the next one. And the service team goes out of its way to help you. Always make sure you make the call in before you get work done on your car.

My 2011 Sonata 2.0

We purchased my 2011 2.0 Sonata in January of 2011. My husbands family is die hard General Motors buyers. He had gone to the Chevy dealership to look at the Malibu and finagle their best price. I wasn’t sure I wanted a Chevy, as I was seeing a lot of Hyundai’s on the road. Our game plan was to stop at Gettel Hyundai first, then off to the Chevy dealership. We never made it to Chevy. I fell in love with my Sonata as soon as I saw it and test drove it. My husband had to admit that Chevy had nothing over Hyundai in terms of value. He also admitted my car was the finest most straight new car he had ever seen. He literally could not find a single body flaw and he has a discerning eye when it comes to cars. We have had our Sonata for over seven years and mechanically it had treated us very well. We will definitely look at Hyundai first when it’s time for a new car.

My sonata is pretty much doing the job it just need some TLC right now.

It is a reliable car if you can keep up the relevant services. I must say it is not a Toyota so you cannot ignore certain neccessary service like oil change. Try and keep up with the manufacturer tuneup specific guidelines.

I highly recommend this car except for the front seat, and the car colors. When I go on a trip I always get 35 miles per gallon. I am starting my 8th year with this car and the only problem I have had is the skylight leaking, which was covered under the warrantee.

runs like new even with 55.000+miles on it,high test gas 93 octane is all i use.

the sonata turbo that we have is a very comfortable car even with 4 or 5 passengers in it. I only use 93 octane gasoline in it and it runs like it could fly, if it had wings,and the factory warenty cant be beat.

Quick pickup and go

The Sonata gets Great gas mileage but does not lack in acceleration. Drives smooth. Comfortable interior that can fit 5 adults easily. Nice sporty look. Huge trunk. The only problem we’ve had was the rear backup light keeps needing to be replaced.

Absolutely love my Sonata. I have the sports model which I purchased when the body style was changed. The only issue is the front passenger side seat sits very low but I very rarely sit on that side.
