Better acceleration than the ICE Tucson
I own a 2022 Tucson limited so I can do a good comparison. The ride is the same, quiet, smooth and comfortable. The pick up is awesome and the reason I picked the hybrid. Unless you’re doing all city slow driving, you won’t save a lot on gas. The EV quits above 45mph or going up a hill. It still gets better mileage than my ICE car, BUT, Wisconsin charges $75 more for registration so I don’t think I make that up in gas savings. I haven’t taken any trips but I assume on the freeway it will get the same mileage, around 31-32. Sometimes I get more. The seats are comfortable and I love the big screen. Some complain about not having knobs but most things can be done from the steering wheel. It’s nimble, good visibility and just easy to drive. I chose the N-line for the sporty look and I didn’t want to have two cars alike. I keep the 2022 in Florida and I love it so no plans to replace it. The only thing I don’t like is that the N-line lacks some features I love that the limited has. Like built in garage door opener, saved driver seat settings, 360 camera, parking sensors and cooled seats. Everything else is the same except it’s quieter when accelerating. The ICE car is a dog in comparison and revs up loudly when trying to speed up. The hybrid is so quiet you can’t tell it’s running except for the fake engine noise. The backup tone was so annoying and loud we made it quieter so we didn’t annoy the neighbors. Sh! Don’t tell anyone. The noise is still there but not as loud. I love Tucsons and feel they are good cars for the money. I think if I bought again I would get the limited version for the cameras and other features. This is not the fault of the car, the N-line is just a different model with cloth seats of black with red lines. It looks nice and the seats are mesh like and don’t get hot in the sun like the leather seats. Some trade offs I made to have the sportier model. It’s a nice car and I would buy the hybrid again for the punchy engine. Limited version because I was spoiled with all of the features. No problems ever with either Tucson. I love them.
That doesn’t have everything the limited has bIt helps to park. The hybrid limited was out of our price range. I love the lane keeping and adaptive cruise. Those are necessary.
